Protests on college campuses

It is all a rehearsal for the Chicago convention…the far-left want a replay of 1968….and Trump and Bannon know from 1968 that student violence on TV in summer means GOP votes in November

The reality is protests should happen in DC, not on campuses.

Even if a college divests, nothing changes. Like, literally nothing.

Protest peacefully in Washington. Lobby your reps on the Hill.

If you just want to cosplay “activist” on your parent’s dime instead of studying for exams, then do it in DC. At least it will be somewhat effective.

How difficult is that?

I’m in the “the US should cut funding, at least most of it, to Israel and wash our hands of this mess” camp and yet the idea of universities divesting because a bunch of wealthy brats had an ongoing temper tantrum makes me want to have the universities invest more, not less. Plus, Israel produces a lot of good stuff.

I do not like the idea of these larping entitled kids dictating any sort of investment policy.

We need to cut back on the billions of dollars of aid flowing to that region.

We need to limit our involvement especially as we pretty much have no influence. And Israel might consider coming up with a workable compromise if they can’t rely on being unconditionally propped up by the US

Oh? Or maybe we should cut back
on Palestinian and Arab refugees who are unwilling to look past their noses wrt their victimhood and grievances. They certainly aren't learning how to understand perspectives at our universities.

We need to cut back on AIPAC influence, that’s the number one thing to do. American taxpayers are breaking their backs so that the U.S treasury can serve as a piggy bank for Zionists.

No. For historical and current strategic reasons, we are Israel's ally. You may be disloyal and inconstant but the US isn't.

DP Israel is a protector of the United States. It in no way is an ally. It is actually an albatross around US neck. Israel provide nothing of value
to the US military, economically, intelligence or as a dependable partner.

Well, private investment funds that have invested in Israeli companies have done quite well, because Israel is filled with smart and successful companies.

Also the bolded is just ridiculous. Try to be grounded in some form of reality. I don’t even think we should fund to the extent we do but I’m not blind.

DP. That poster wouldn't know reality if it bopped them on the nose.

Exactly. You’ll see the same “students” in action there.

Isn’t it fun to watch the left blow itself up?

I agree but feel the same way about the wealthy donors having a temper tantrum because students dared to complain about the Israeli Government. They all suck and they are all harming us. Send Bibi and Sinwar to the Hague. They can share the same cell for all I care.

If only you were personally divest!!! This is all BS. Everything you use is made in China, one of the worst human rights violators on the earth. What isn't made there is made in South America and Africa using children workers. People are so hypocritical it's astounding.

So true. The same people protesting to divest would freak out if their iPhone cost went up by $100 because children were finally pulled out of the lithium mines. Ignorant buffoons.

Ugh, no, because I really don’t want Trump re-elected! But any crazy protest footage is like red meat to the R’s.

Bad faith view of what the donors were reacting to.
