Removing content is a solid indicator that they know they messed up, however Congressional doesn't seem to be willing to put that in writing on its social media... "hey, we are listening and some of our recent actions fall short of the inclusive culture we are trying to build."

Instead, they are saying "nothing to see here, move along please."

I'd suggest you stick to discussing what you know. The HOS sent out a message to the school community saying they had taken down the video and explaining why.

I am discussing what I know, which is that they removed the material but haven't publicly addressed it. My clear takeaway is an admission of a screw up on their part (taking down the material) and a message of "nothing to see here, move along please" (indicated by a lack of a statement).

Is there another takeaway the school would like the broader community to glean from these actions?

You know he was sued at his old school because he held an Ice Cream day that only invited black students and then told the other students they weren’t allowed to have any because they were “too privileged”. Sounds to me like he’s a rascist and a bigot

But don't the Egyptians get hit with plagues in the Passover story? The bad guy was the Pharoah in the Moses story, I thought.

They do get hit with plagues. Whether he was the bad guy depends on your view of enslaving Jews, but yes generally that is the perception.

Read your history. The plagues were blamed on.... can you guess? The Jews.

I agree. If they don’t want this to be the takeaway, then they need further action.

To be honest, ever since he took over this school has been going downhill

Yep. Why do you think he was only at Palm Beach Day Academy for 2 years before coming to Congressional.

I am so disappointed. It used to be such a good school. Good memories of sending my kids there. Glad we’re not there now!

What kind of a superhero is a Pharaoh?
Sounds like he just wanted to get his money’s worth out of his last Halloween costume
Sounds more like ignorance than intentional, but I agree they need to address the issue and make a statement

I could be waayyyy off base here but African Americans often celebrate ancient Egyptian achievements as distinctly African, which is true.

Kind of ironic that some ignorant people seem to be making this all about them.

That would make more sense if it was a specific Egyptian ruler that was famous for something. But it seems like the most famous pharaoh is the one from the exodus story so not sure which one would be a good choice to lionize.
