I think we all know why.

To think of how many lives were spent in the fight against the Nazis - how many Germans tried to stand up to them and were killed, how many Jewish people were murdered, how many handicapped children, Roma, how many young Americans died and how many more lived out their lives remembering the horrible things they saw and had to do - and here’s the GOP celebrating the ideology. It’s sick.

This whole thread ties the arc of White Nationalism, Evangelicals, Iran-Contra, Standing Rock and the Capital Insurrection, with toss outs to Ollie North, Ginni Thomas, Bud MacFarlane and Bill Barr.

Yep.

But this is only part of it. They’ve moved beyond “not caring” about democracy to being fascists.

I will never vote for another Republican again ever. I was working Jan 6th for the Senate and am still really angry at everyone who participated in it and those who would convict Trump. Those Senators took a sh*t on democracy just like the terrorists in the rotunda. Fly your hate flag, it’s obvious now.

The Supreme Court is hearing an AZ case that may or may not end the Voting Rights Act.

Combined with the local level GOP effort to thwart access to voting, and given Trump lost the Electoral College by 43,000 aggregate votes, it is highly probable that gerrymandering and voter suppression will give the GOP the House in 2022 and the White House in 2024, despite being outvoted by tens of millions of voters.

We are on the precipice of a tyranny of the minority where the likes of Ted Cruz or Tom Cotton will prevail despite overwhelming numbers against.

Which is why there are no good Republicans.

She has kids of color. I wonder if she will use her power on SCOTUS to ensure they will be able to vote or not.
