This was one of the hardest years I can remember. That’s not to say it didn’t leave me with so much to be thankful for. The big thing I take into 2020 is a belief that if you can make yourself stop long enough to look up you will see how much love you’ve been missing. ?? & laughter to all you beautiful people.

I read that, and thought WTH? What are they, chopped liver? Yeah, he isn’t looking for the love of a wife and three kids. Gay or not, that is insulting and a massive betrayal. Why hide in a faux marriage, wreck a woman’s life, and bring three precious kids into the world to mess up with abandonment? Ok but he’s still in a nice hotel and she’s pregnant with two kids. Just don’t understand why they even got pregnant. I’d be super resentful right now. Sorry he’s struggling but he’s also in Brooklyn cafes and now Santa Fe art shows.

Yeah his depression didn’t pop out of nowhere. She knew things were tough and got pregnant anyway.

I totally agree. But, not unlike spouses of addicts, she probably hoped he'd become/wished he'd become/thought she could will him into being a better father. I suspect that a rough first trimester with no real help, or understanding of the support she needed, was for whatever reason the real and final wakeup call for her. In a perfect world, we'd all have insight and perspective and self-awareness, and no baby would be born into a less-than-optimal family circumstances. But that's obviously not how it goes a lot of the time. So, on some level, I do feel badly for her. EXCEPT, she makes it hard to stay there, especially when she posts creepy photos of herself in underwear with her kids. Then I find myself back at the WTF-is-wrong-with-this-woman place.
