Is it about maximizing players, team or a coaches individual choices? Sounds like BRYC doesn’t have priorities in place or they basically lost it when Larry Best left.

You realize these players played on the 03 WHEN Larry was there too right? This isn't a change. When the age groupings changed they stayed with the 03 team. That being said, both players played double digit games with the 04 team last season.

The most talented 2005 player who would also be a top player on 2004 is staying with 2005 this year. Looks like BRYC want to help the 2005 age group grow. Last year 2003 players played up on my daughters 2002 team often, this year it is a 2 year age gap. There were no 2003 players rostered on the 2001 team because it is a 2 year jump and the 19s have a big player pool. Why would coach cut older players so he can take younger kids?

Posters need to start thinking.

Last year, the 03s who played with the 02s weren't necessarily the best 03s.
They were 03s who needed a team to play on (other than the 03 team), or they were being stashed on the 02 roster in case they were needed for 03 play later in the year.

Look around and you'll see several of them are no longer with the club.

An ECNL All American is not one of the best players now? that kid played multiple games with my daughters 02 team. As did the Kid on defense that starts every 03 game.

I don't really understand these threads. If you are saying congrats boys I would hope you are a member of the club. If you are not a member of the club and you are saying congrats boys on an anonymous soccer thread then that is weird.

And if you are a part of the club then why not just create a facebook group for the club/team and have a circle jerk there? And I'm not just picking on you or BRYC, this is a thing on this forum. It is ok and nice to be happy for your clubs team it just seems weird to do that here when there are better places to tell the "boys" congrats. I'm quite certain that none of the boys are reading this forum.

Saying congrats here is worse than wishing your significant other a happy anniversary or happy birthday via facebook.

So they kept players that were not necessarily good enough and found a home for them to see if they would be develop, and that is a bad thing now. This forum man .... SMH

I agree, could have cut them like most clubs would but found a place for players. Good for BRYC

I’m sure this is all a kid can ask for when they are not good enough for a team, another chance to grow.

Apologies didn’t know this thread was strictly for negative BS, most of it made up by outsiders from other clubs.

Go BRYC

It isn't that the site needs to be negative but seriously, be realistic, the boys are not here reading this. Again, it is like saying happy birthday to your husband on Facebook. The comment is for the likes and the attention. Well here is the attention, your congrats is just self serving and stupid.
