My child was accepted. 96 percentile MCPS and 99 percentile National. Zip code 20871.
Info on open house is included, as well as deadline to accept invitation. Now the most difficult part of the process: To accept or not. Congrats to all who were also accepted, and best of luck to all who are waiting. Let us all not forget how important it is to allow our kids to be kids — childhood flies by so fast as we all know it. Going to the best school won’t define a person, but the impact one has in changing the world to be a better place would. |

It hurts to read this. My child is WLed. |
My kid is there. It’s fine, but it’s not shangri-la. Don’t be too upset. |
My kid is at a CES as well. It's a path, not a golden path. |
Why would that hurt you? It just means some parents are weighing their options because there may be other factors to consider; e.g. social skills, or a child’s ability to cope with changes. Your situation is obviously different from PP. |

I get it. My oldest was rejected outright. It's upsetting to not be the one who can say yes or no

| I wish we would be accurate. It's not MCPS percentile - as you can see from reviewing above where at the same National percentile you have vastly different (basically zip code driven) local SES percentile. I suppose this will be shot down, it's dcum, but could we call it what it is, "local SES percentile"? |
