What does your post mean? What is "Gop is as good af"?

If you are on an anonymous board and want to make the opposing side look bad, you can do the hard work of arguing against them, or you can go the easier route of impersonating them in some dipshit way.

On an anonymous board, it's half smoke and mirrors. Never know which half.

I'm a Democrat and liberal. If I read something really stupidly written or far out from reasonable -- and purported to be from a Republican and/or conservative, I assume it's someone shining me on.

When I engage, it's limited to people who appear to be acting in good faith. I try to step around the bullshit.

This. And that “as good af” just doesn’t pass the sniff test.

DP. I see what you're saying and agree - however, that PP actually does sound like many of the liberals here on DCUM. Angry, incoherent, and raging. We see this all the time, so I have no doubt it's a real liberal, not someone impersonating one. Not surprising at all.

They keep trying to pin his Hideousness on the Democrats, but if they were really proud of him, they'd be proud of it. Instead we get regular, "this is why Trump won" remarks. Own it. Take your fear-fattened amygdalas and take responsibility for this plague you have wrought upon us with your inability to read people or positions.

THIS is why Trump won. I know how that gets under your skin, but in reality it's the truth. He won because so many Americans were sick and tired of the Democrats "inability to read people or positions." Specifically, HRC.

Sorry you don't like to hear it, but you guys really need to own the reason he's in office.

As normal people watch our international stature diminished and Republicans swear people respect us more... I’d have to agree with you.

All you have to do is look at the foreign press to see the jokes and dismissal since the 2016 election. It's not good. Our gun violence problem alone has the rest of the world befuddled.

+1

The rest of the world can plainly see that Trump and conservatives are an incompetent, hypocritical joke.

Lumping all conservatives together as a single monolith reveals the bigotry you portend to despise. Hypocrite.

Conservatives = people who didn’t try to keep Trump out of office and continue to do nothing about Trump

Did you try to keep Hillary out of office, disgusting as she was?

Hillary wasn’t and isn’t disgusting. I voted for her in both her primaries and I’m proud to say I voted for her in the 2016 general, too. She had a vision for America, detailed and well laid out. She had a kind and forward looking vision, and I will continue to go in the direction of progress. Not toward fear and ignorance.

DP. Well, that's certainly your opinion. Many others disagree. And that's life.

Honest to God, I had no clue there were so many delusional and idiotic trump supporters in DC. I have never seen such poor reasoning, failed logic and misrepresentation of actual facts in one place like this before! Eye-opening to say the least. And then when the trump supporter is clearly proven wrong, they come back with "libshit" childish names and vile descriptions on how the poster wouldn't give you "the stream off his piss".

Who are these under-educated and creepy people?!

There are tons of them. I am from the midwest and they are all over. I was not surprised that Trump won. In fact, in the primary, I voted for Kasich even though I am a Dem because I was worried about it. I have lived around these people my entire life and it is frightening.

+1 there are so truly ugly Americans out there and on this forum. They can't even reason and think for themselves. I can tell what the Fox "buzz word" is by how many times posters parrot it. It is embarrassing and frightening to be honest.

Bur remember they are the smallest of minorities. On election day, trump only won with 26% of eligible voters. And his poll numbers have slipped do drastically since his inauguration that his support must be down to the teens in actual supporters.

trump-lovers cannot be who we are as a country or we are doomed. I mean that.

No, that’s not why he's in office. And for god's sake, stop blaming us for your bad decision! I didn’t fill in the circle for that monster - you did. That’s on your conscience, not mine.

Many of the liberals? How do you know *they* are liberals??

They don't sound like me or any of the liberals I know. Many sound like the fringe wingnuts I read about. The same for the jackass-sounding "conservatives."

And when I try to figure out whether it's more likely this anonymous site in DC is populated by a surprising number of fringe wingnuts vs. people from god knows where just trying to stir the pot, well, I think I know which is more likely.

Sometimes I wonder how much is sockpuppeting just to have someone to point to and say "See? THAT'S what they are like. I told you!"

Anyway. I think it's productive only to engage people that don't seem half-cracked and let the rest talk to themselves. I remain convinced that the average conservative is neither foaming at the mouth, nor taking off his or her pants for clandestine rendezvous.

It's nice that way, too.

Sure it is. You guys just can't bear to hear how you've alienated huge swaths of the population, and how *your* actions resulted in Trump being elected president. Oh, and my conscience is perfectly clear, thanks!

Quit gaslighting. You were a deplorable before the election. And you're still a deplorable. Don't blame us because you like deplorable policies and politicians.

I hope you are right. But having grown up with these people, I am not convinced. In retrospect, everyone should have seen Trump coming for years. The thing that is more amazing to me is that we had Obama. For a brief period of time, we would better than we really are.

So you did something horribly stupid - voting for the horribly unqualified candidate - and your conscience is clear. Damn it Obama! Why didn’t you throw these people into camps like they said you were going to do to them?

Horribly unqualified? You mean Obama? That wasn’t us. That was you!
