I believe from them you'll learn the art of debate and discussion. Challenge conventional wisdom. Question authority and don't accept something just because it is spoon fed to you.

Have you read any John Locke or Charles Taylor (this one https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Taylor_(philosopher))?

I've read a bit of Locke( not a huge fan) I've heard of Taylor but haven't read him yet

NP. You are very bright and well-spoken. You will succeed in spades.

Some interesting numbers on the French election:

Twenty million people voted for Macron; 10 million for Le Pen (4 million more than in the first round); and a staggering 16 million either abstained or handed in a spoiled ballot. That less than half of the electorate felt compelled to form a “republican front” against the Front National tells us how profoundly antagonistic they are to the new man in charge.

Any breakdown among demographic lines yet? Interesting to see if similar to the Brexit referendum

More interesting to me -

74.6% of the population voted which is the lowest turnout since 1969.

Having said that - that would be the highest turnout in an American election since the 1800s.

To those up-thread who were bemoaning the fact "turnout" was low... nearly 3/4 of France's eligible voters came out and cast a vote. One more thing America can be ashamed and embarrassed about, even their low turn-out humiliates us.

I laffed. You are insane.

No sweety, secular Leftism is insane.

What a d1psh1t.

There go the Leftists name-calling those that don't agree with them. How cute

NP here and that wasn't name calling, Dear. I actually looked up "dipshit" in the dictionary and it said, "noun, someone who writes that France has not been sane since the French Revolution because your choice for their president lost".

dude, you are all over the internet with this username. you are one scary, far right mfer. go back to iron march and please leave this forum alone. it's bad enough with the russian bots and trump trolls; we don't need the literal fascists here.

You're not funny, and when did I say I support Le Penn? Shes not even all that conservative. A divorced woman who advocates social conservatism(hypocrite) I'm a Christian Monarchist. I hate Populism. I was just saying that France's situation is quite sad.

Aren't you talking to admin there?

No. PaleoConPrep. Go google that username.

I come on here to give my opinion on the situation in France, and you guys call me a Nazi and bring up stupid things I've done in other threads or forums. Don't bother having a serious conversation, just smear the guy who disagrees with you. Pathetic. I wonder what y'all are like in real life. I often wonder why the hell I even post here anymore. It's a bunch of Left-wing SJWs who aren't even willing to have a conversation.

And some of us are Jewish, to boot.

I really think you will be more comfortable elsewhere.

Not to point out the obvious, but you did declare yourself a Fascist on IronMarch. If that is not to be taken seriously, how are we to take your comments seriously here?

Yes, there are some similarities. Here is a map of the election results by commune. The yellow is for Le Pen and the Blue is for Macron. Le Pen did well in the north east where de-industrialization has driven high unemployment.
Macron did well in the cities. He also did well in agricultural areas which traditionally vote socialist as they were probably willing to support his centrist platform over the far-right Le Pen.

Macron also did better with voters with a higher level of education.

99% of what I said on IronMarch was made up. I made up a story to sound as radical as they are. I only made 1 post on the site.

When you post fake stories you lose credibility, especially when it is tied to your username i.e. your identity.

Keep in mind that stuff comes back to haunt you if you ever go into politics.

I lost all interest in going into politics while observing the 2016 election. Trump isn't even that far to the Right, and he was treated like a monster. A true man of the Right will get nowhere in America these days. Also, it'd be quite hypocritical for an anti-democratic Monarchist to run for any office

I know you befriended a monarchist who greatly influenced your political views, but assuming you are an American living in America, your view may evolve. The US was founded on principles of rejecting the monarchy. We have no monarchy here and no way to create one.
Good luck with everything.

So you are not a constitutional monarchist - even one with a property restricted suffrage? England in 1680 was too radical for you? France in 1820 under the restored house of Bourbon? Did the Anglo Saxon wittenagamot offend your principles?

Do you have any idea how radical in its time the notion of absolute monarchy was?

You sound like A. You are very young and B. You really don't know that much history

I posted on here before about this prior o the elction. that Macron will face hell if he tries to change anything on the labor front.

Unions are ready to battle him from the offing

Can PaleoConPrep take his views to the teen forum. He's hijacked the thread. and BTW the stuff he's posted online before could seriously get him denied employment, clearance, etc. Like we are supposed to believe you lied, because you said so? Everything leaves a trail. Yours is horrible. If you were my kid I would be very upset with the nonsensical stuff that is easy to find linked to you in a google search (no mixing of races, no abortions whatsoever, all religions besides protestants are bad [which in and of itself is definitely the opposite of a protestant viewpoint], WASPS are superior, you are muslim, you are a WASP, you want to join the most WASPy frat at HSC and that might be SAE, that you want to go to St. Johns, that fascism and violence are justified, that all forms of sodomy and abortion should be crimes, all non WASPy americans should be deported, you are in high school, etc.). That's from 1 minute of a google search. Seriously kid, step away, this kind of stuff can come back to haunt you.
