[/quote] Any breakdown among demographic lines yet? Interesting to see if similar to the Brexit referendum[/quote] Yes, there are some similarities. Here is a map of the election results by commune. The yellow is for Le Pen and the Blue is for Macron. Le Pen did well in the north east where de-industrialization has driven high unemployment. Macron did well in the cities. He also did well in agricultural areas which traditionally vote socialist as they were probably willing to support his centrist platform over the far-right Le Pen.
