I know that much of the drama is scripted but I'm curious how AA women feel about the show and its cast. Particularly AA women in the DMV.

AA woman here. It's no different than any of the other reality shows to me. It's always fabricated drama or the producers create situations that will create fighting/drama.

why is Robyn on the show? She lives in Baltimore! The drive just to filmed here must be awful does she drive back home? The producers probably provide a hotel for her lol

She needs the money; only 2 cast members with a possible 3rd live in Potomac.

Charisse is having a midlife crisis: her two current choices appear to be either the ghetto path or exotic dancer.

I'm basing the exotic dancer path on her Champagne Room which sounds like something from a strip club where a guy goes for a lap dance.

+1
And her god-awful getups that she wears for the interviews. OMG.

I think it's interesting that Monique's pastor told her to call Gizelle and patch things up. I wonder if she really will. That would certainly be taking the high road, considering Gizelle really was rude and should be the one apologizing to Monique.

Side note - why does Monique call the pastor's wife the "First Lady"? I had never heard that expression before. Is it specific to AA churches?

I don't feel any way about it TBH. I am glad I don't travel in their circles as they seem tiresome.

Did anyone else feel uncomfortable with how much influence the pastor and his wife have over this couple? Not only are they deeply involved in their spiritual life, they are also heavily involved in their finances. It made me go hmmmmmm.....

It wasn't just you. I thought, that was a nice commission on a multi-million dollar home. However, as long as they are doing right by the couple, why not keep it in the family so to speak.

I think Monique's marriage is in trouble, why else would she feel the need to keep telling everyone and him, how wonderful it is.

And that silly scene in the restaurant with Ashley, Gizelle, and Robyn. Silly.

And how does Robyn not think their relationship needs to be fixed? She has the emotional intelligence of a 12 year old.

He is her story line aside from interactions with the other ladies. They've been divorced for a few years, not that divorced couples can't get along and lean on each other, but another site posted a UMD article from the same year as their s divorce where he called another woman the love of his life. Either she is acting for the cameras to have a story line or she just can't quit him (we've all known people like this and dealing with them can be maddening). She needs to adopt the RHONY Former Countess LuAnn's Dating Philosphy: Move on!

Did you guys hear the producer talking to Juan? He basically said he's only there for the kids and he's sick of this. How can anyone live like that; the kids will understand if they don't already.
