You can't afford anything. That's why you live in PG.

Why the hate on PG?

I was born in PG. I don't understand why someone who probably isn't from here (you) feels justified in casting aspersions on someplace they know nothing about. This puzzles me.

Explain?

Not the PP, however, pp probably feels justified casting aspersions on PG because of the number of AAs in PG. Notice how no other county is denigrated as much as PG, not MoCo, Arlington, FF etc? Now if more flannel shirted, handlebar moustached white males and their yoga loving partners gentrified PG, then the county would be viewed more positively by the DCUM masses.

Or maybe it's that the people who double-park on Sundays seem to come mostly from PG.

Let see...
A big house with two cars garage
Plenty of space for me and visitors to PARK.
Plenty of money left to enjoy finer things in life...
oh yeah, I'd rather live in PG than those overpriced dungeons in DC where you cannot even find a parking space to park your own car.

The choice: Dysfunctional City or Pervasive Graft County.

Both a bit out of date - DC still has plenty of issues, but its come a long way on several areas of city services. PG has had more honest governance under Baker than under its previous executive.

Or the WaPo pundits from PG who joke about running down cyclists (and yeah, I do have a basis for that)

Considering that the state of MD doesn't indicate the county of residence on the license plate, you don't know what county the people are from, do you? Hell no. What you're doing is assuming they're PG residents because they're AA. It's ok to admit that you make assumptions based on race, people do it all the time.

Bitch please. Where do you think they all coming from? Come on now. They had family that lived in the old hood, "got out", and moved to a more middle class life style in Maryland. They drove back in on Sundays and pushed around the lower class blacks that couldnt afford to move.
Now these areas have million dollar homes and lawyers. They don't give a F who's beefin with who. Take your Oldsmobile and park it at a church in PG. oh, and take your damn kids with you. You wanted to live in Maryland, let them get educated out there. Ain't no such thing as being grandfathered into DCPS- for your information.

Agree as to Baker. He's tried to put the sorry Wayne Curry and especially Jack Johnson era behind. The county council and school board are still Kleptocracy Central, however.

I'm going to have to give the slow clap award of the day to this one. May not be PC but it's how I see this. That said, I have churches in my neighborhood of D.C. And no one illegally parks there. And I really appreciate that.

It's called free daycare for three and four year olds. Google it. Or look for any of the dozens of threads on this phenomenon in this bee forum.

Keep up! DC schools are better now than they were twenty years ago by and large.

Oh girl. You so behind. Wait wait wait. You don't know the people parking on Sunday's from PG AND you don't know they dropping them kids off in the morning on their way to work for metro? Come on now.
oh DCUM, just keep worrying about the housing market in AU park and which organic snacks you feedin' Larlo. For a D.C. Forum, ya'll don't know much bout D.C.

Their parents and grandparents lived there before you were even born. They might not live there now, but they grew up there, and it's still THEIR neighborhood, regardless of where they live now, or who occupies it at the moment.

They (hopefully) won't be living here for now. Your attitude is disgusting.

Remember the Plan (TM). Then go f4ck yourself.
