this is the only place to admit it

I'll most likely vote for Hillary though because although I dislike her personally and believe she's a brazen criminal, I think she's far more qualified and won't screw up as badly as Trump could.

Hillary is experienced but would keep the status quo. Trump is NOT experienced, and while he'd shake things up, I think he'd do more damage than good. Of course Trump's a Lib. That's why he brought on Pence. But he's hardly a Lib I'd feel comfortable voting into the White House.

And I agree with the other poster. There are MANY secret Trump fans. My friend just opened up to me about this. She's a New England Lib! My mother, who has always voted party line, said if Trump makes it, she won't be crying. And she's NOT voting in this election - at least not for either presidential candidate. I have another friend who enjoys Trump's theatrics and won't be shocked or disappointed if he wins. These are three lifelong Democrats, folks.

Personally, I can't stand the hypocrisy w/in the Democratic party. Hillary has controversy all around her - from Benghazi to the the emails to the Clinton Foundation. Her husband, who is charming, I'll admit, is associated with a convicted pedophile. never mind that he cheated on her - All's fair in love and politics, I guess. But once children are involved in sex scandals, that's where I draw the line.

So of the two, I do believe Hillary is smarter, but I don't necessarily believe her character TRUMPS his.

They rarely share this information with others who are not close family or friends and the reason for their reluctance is precisely because of the reaction that you see from posters who cannot conceive that a person of color would consider voting for Trump. I wonder how many of these people there are and whether they get counted in the polls.

He's got between 30-50% of the vote in polls. Do you think your DIL is not counted?

I really have no idea. I do know that when she gets the occasional call asking for her voting preferences she just refuses to participate.

You have no idea if her vote will be counted? Where does she live?

I was referring to surveys that are conducted presumably as part of polls.

Very very uncomfortable to tell/explain to people that I am voting for Trump. I will not discuss any political views. I'm often listening. My reasons for voting for him would be picked apart on here and in person. I don't want to subject myself to it. Not a troll. Just uncomfortable being transparent about a decision that is unpopular among my peers and to the larger extent-the nation.

I consider a plan to vote for Trump a major character flaw, especially after sampling the circus that is the GOP convention.

But we don't know each other (I hope) so it's safe to say anonymously. Likewise, you can give your reasons without much impact. So why not share your reasons? Yes, they'll be picked apart but what's the point of saying you'll vote for Trump if not to say why?

Is it me or are liberals on here coming off like bullies? Funny you don't hear much of this kind of talk from Republicans. Could it be that the Republican voters accept that people have different points of view? Seriously pp, you are the one with the "character flaw" - your flaw as that you have a superiority complex.
I cannot imagine what it feels like to believe that people who don't vote for who I vote for have flawed characters.

Is it just me or are republicans coming off like thin-skinned cowards? What would you do in interwar Germany? Ask very nicely for peace? I'm not pulling a Neville Chamberlain. I'm happy to engage in a fact-based debate and there are plenty of threads doing that. Obviosuly we have different views of what is good character. If you're so concerned about bullies and niceness, I have no idea why you'd even contemplate voting for Trump.

That's exactly what Obama and Hillary are doing with ISIS. See other DCUM thread where liberals are talking about how an olive branch is appropriate.

Wow!! She has blood on her hands for Benghazi, emailed classified information on unauthorized servers to name a few big issues and you think she won't screw up?! Yikes

Embassy bombings and lost emails made Bush unqualified? Gwb43.Com ring a bell?

Funny. Ever notice when a conservative says something critical about Hillary, the liberals come out with something wrong a conservative did?

But the reverse sure doesn't apply. When libs spent 50 pages complaining about the dishonesty of candidate's spouse - not even the candidate himself - for copying a few lines from a speech, and what a liar Melania is, I pointed out how libs all of a sudden see "truth" as an important trait as they bend over backwards to defend lying Hillary. I asked how can you compare a few lifted phrases in a speech (from the SPOUSE) with Hillary's lies about protecting highly classified material, thereby turning over secrets to enemies? Wham: Don't deflect! We're tired of hearing about Hillary's emails! This isn't about Hillary!

More liberal hypocrisy.

Preserve you sanity. Just stop responding and pretty soon they'll be bickering with each other and there will be nothing left to see here. You can't argue with lunatics.

Did you ever notice when a liberal points out an enormous conservative failing, the conservative starts blathering about "hypocrisy," or a "lack of tolerance." It's a conversation happening and because it's currently showing what a bunch of buttwads Rs are, you don't like it.

We’ve been here before......you know why.
And, OP, glad you are voting for Trump.
And, I am sorry that your friends and coworkers are not tolerant.
But, I also believe there are many more like you, even among your friends. You would probably be quite surprised.

Agree 100% with your post. I was afraid to admit it too, because certain people I know threatened to not speak to me if I did. Then the same people surprised me by slowly changing their minds, and now I don't have to keep it secret anymore.
Just as you have a vote, so do I. I cannot vote for someone who disparages races of people and concludes that African-Americans, like myself, kill 81% of white Americans. I also have an issue with a party that really doesn't like black people.

You vote your way, OP, and I'll vote mine.

PP. Thanks - great advice. Otherwise another one of them might come back at me with a well-thought out, reasoned, and intelligent response - like calling me a buttwad (as above). Sort of reminds me of that concept about not "teaching a pig to sing." Over and out....have fun, liberals!
