RHNY Season 8

Worst season yet.

1. Ray, Luann's ex who got thrown out of the party, is so very clearly gay, no? That made no sense to me. And why would Ramona stick up for him? He was a drunk dickhead who was clearly out of line.
2. The nanny interview was so hard to watch. Jules keeps proving each week that she is an idiot.
3. Agreed about Sonja's teeth. Everything points to her being broke. I wonder if she has any other source of income besides the money from the show?

Bottom line, almost every woman on this show has some sort of major issue (relationships, money, health). It is a shit show (but I am tuned in to every episode)!

Sonja wouldn't be "broke" if she sold the townhouse and moved to, say, upstate New York. She WILL be broke because she can't let go of Lady Morgan. She's going to Miss Havisham her life away.

Don't Google it, sweetie. Save yourself.

Oh, I don't think so. It's much better than the crapfests that OC and Atlanta have become, and BH made me cringe with Yolanda's phony sob story. The DVR broke and they took it away before I had a chance to watch the endless BH reunion and I was relieved I didn't have to watch it! NY is keeping me engaged.

Poster at 12:45, you have laid out the reasons I can call my love/hate relationship with this show just about 100% hate. I can't understand why most of the cast members stick with it.

I couldn't stop looking away from things even when it made me feel guilty for watching - like that woman with the abusive husband who killed himself - but it's hard to watch at this point. What's fun about Bethenny becoming increasingly unglued or Luann's obvious desperation to stay relevant?

I was thinking the same thing! Plus he sounded like he was on drugs.

She can't afford it and hasn't been able to for years. She could rent an apartment and be fine. But she HAS to hang on to that house.

A SEASON as in a season of this show. You thought I meant "series," and I didn't.

Anyone notice how ratty Carole's sofa was while she was working on the laptop? It looks like it was torn in several places.

No, I didn't. I think this RHONY season is very energized, while the recent seasons of the other series were snooze fests or cringe-worthy. I know what you were saying. I just disagree.

No one but Bethenny and Ramona works. I hate that. LuAnna bluntly said this last episode she is waiting for the next gravy train. Sonja is living off her ex (although not very smartly...downsize, it hurts to watch you live in your mansion you can't afford!). Carole published a few books 10 plus years ago and is just riding that out. Jules is a stay at home mom, which normally wouldn't be boring, but she's pretty disconnected from that role and hires it all out. BORING!
