Not all women want to be in the corner office. |
No. If a man treated a junior staff member differently because she showed cleveage at work, it would be frowned upon. But most men- and most senior women- don’t think bare breasts are a look that commands respect. It’s not about accepting the female form. I’m a senior woman and the one that posted this. At work, having more skin covered is correlated with having more power. Men are mostly covered, so this isn’t an issue of subjugation. |
I'm a woman & I'm really not understanding the prevalence of the "to show other women what they don't have/to make others jealous" comments. I've honestly never known anyone like that. Plus, there actually are other women out there who like cleavage too, not just men.
PS - earlier there was a comment like "Can't have it both ways, feminists." Hey bruh, tell that to a bisexual feminist. We are having it both ways, and it's awesome. |
I've got very nice boobs, according to my DH, and I enjoy showing cleavage at the appropriate time but at work isn't one of them. Showing a little is fine so it forces the imagination to work. Showing a lot just makes you look cheap. |
And I am menopausal, so if I don't wear a v neck, I get too hot. Stop looking. |
Actually, smaller one she are way more comfortable and dressing is easier. I wish I could give you a cup size and go back to being the C I was for years. Menopause isn't kind. |
It's trashy in my opinion unless you're fat. Fatties get a hallpass. It usually makes them look a lot better! |
Maybe so, if he were to speak of it. But when you are a senior exec and the face of your company or organization in public, overtly sexy is not the right look. (In most fields, anyway.) Someone who is lacking that awareness gives me huge doubts about her judgment/professionalism. |
By the way, I would have had the same reaction to a guy that showed up to the interview with his shirt unbuttoned to the breastbone and exposed chest hair. |
My MIL is 70 and still does this. It is repugnant. It has been for the 33 years I have been married to her son. She was only ever know for her "beauty" and never had a job. So that is what she hangs onto...sadly those days are way gone! |
Damn, don't say that!! That makes me sad. I'm sure you have other good features. |
Nobody wants to see your menopausal flapjacks. Buy a more breathable fabric with a higher neckline. |
There are women where the only visually appealing aspect of their appearance was their cleavage. No doubt that distraction/misdirection was the goal.
Bald men often have beards. Misdirection? |
It is hard to not look. And older cleavage can still be appealing. |
I wear tank tops under my shirt to cover cleavage. Mine are huge, and I don’t like the attention they bring. |
