Agreed. My husband and I were arguing over this. He was saying, essentially, the bitch set him up (ba dum bum.) I said, "I don't care how many softballs down the middle you threw to me, that filth would never leave my mouth no less enter my head. So yeah, she may have baited him, she may have set him up, but he buried himself all by his little old self." |
what if he was? isn't that the point? and I found Sterling's comments to be more jealous and silly than racist. He was jealous of his girlfriend, delusional and pathetic. |
|
Huh. He was jealous of his girlfriend? I think you may be the one who is delusional. Why would he be jealous of his girlfriend? And your defense of Sterling is pathetic! |
+2. I know, right? Sterling is accountable to the NBA owners who are worried that he is going to lose them scads of money. The Asian DD's parents are accountable to nobody, so far as we know. The government is not even in the picture, given that the 1st Amendment protects Sterling from any government action. The only thing you can justifiably blame is ... CAPITALISM! |
Hmm, would your take on it would hold more weight if he had said he didn't want her to bring ANY guys/people to the game. Singling out black people is a racist move. |
Intelligent folks of this thread...give up! We cannot get through the thickness of their thick skulls! No matter how much they grasp for any straws & we refute them they will continue to grasp for anything! These fonts can't read or comprehend anything intelligent. You would have more in depth conversations with a wall. Their unsuccessful attempt to defend this racist pig isn't working & they are panicking. Let them squirm. We know the backlash is simply capitalism speaking but if they don't want to listen oh well. For you mad posters...here is a beautiful sad song played on the world's smallest violin... |
Oh God. Marge Schott was such an embarassment to my hometown. She was a racist bigot too. Good riddance to her and Sterling! |
Are you a major sports team? |
look, if you cannot see that this sets a dangerous precedence, then I cannot help you. what you say to your husband or wife in private and in confidence might offend someone someday. you could be the best person ever, your acts do nothing but good, but still share a private thought, perhaps not even accurate, and it can burn you. I think private conversations should remain private, unless you 100% know the context. Sterling is a bad example here, since he is a slumlord ambulance chasing POS. But the worry remains. |
Yes, this is true. But it doesn't set any precedent at all, because it has always been true. You tell somebody something in confidence, that person blabs to somebody else, suddenly everybody has a different opinion of you. So be careful of what you say and whom you say it to. |
Common Damn Sense! |
So this development has suddenly scared the shit out of you and made you paranoid about a possible precedent being set... Lol - c'mon seriously? I can understand how the reprehensible racist remarks of a high-profile billionaire owner of an NBA franchise could spark public outrage and lead to some frightening repercussions but who the hell are you that anyone would give two shits about what you say to your spouse in private? |
What kills me is the Chicken Little DCUM posters and Fox News shouting about the "PC Police!" and how "they" are coming to get us in our bedrooms"!!!!
This has nothing to do with PC or not PC. We have no idea whether Silver or any of the other team owners is PC or not. Really, we have absolutely no idea. This is about Capitalism and money. The NBA is afraid of losing millions. That is the only story here. |
+1 This fake fear about privacy invasion is laughable. No one gives a shit what you tell your husband. You're not important enough for anyone to bug your home. GMAFB. |
