HOW do you give a Xmas gift to you garbage men?

My garbage man is a robot very mechanical. The driver never gets out of the truck.

I give the three guys on the trucks gift booklets to McDonald's. They love it. Lunch on me!

Excellent idea.

Me again. How much gift booklets per person do you give?
$10 each. I choose McDonald's because they have that $1 menu and can have a substantial lunch.

I'm not rich but appreciate the nasty job they do. I couldn't do it though before I starve, I'd just wash dirty dishes!

I love this idea and am doing it too! I love McDonald's coffee and they gift books can be used for that too!

(Yes, I am from NY but I did not know that was NY-specific. Even if it is, I won't stop the nice gesture because all the cheapos here think it is weird. Hasn't it ever occurred to you guys to think of the people that surround you and help you all year, and to do something nice for them at Christmas?)

I grew up in the south and everyone tipped the garbage men.

We run out and give him a six pack of beer.

They make a good living with physically demanding labor picking up all the extra trash generated by Covid. We gave our trash crews a bonus in July and will be giving them our traditional holiday tip in December. We out the money in thank you cards sealed in a plastic bag and taped to our front door. We leave a note on the cans to check our door. Works a charm.

Oh please. Of course you can tip them! They don’t make that great of a salary. I think it is a really nice thought op! Two different crews come because of recycling. Maybe try to catch them next week?
