She got the position because of her family. She continues in that position because the producers/powers that be see talent in her. If she didn’t have any talent, she wouldn’t have lasted this long.

I love watching Jenna. She’s very positive and fits the vibe of today. I’m sure she got the job through her family, but she’s great. Her sister has been on there and she would not be the best to watch on there.

She got the TV personality job bc of family, and she's perfectly capable of handling it. Lots of people would like to and could do well in the programs Chelsea pursued, few get in and assuredly she was flagged as a top candidate due to family connections. They've both had every advantage a child could possibly have.

This is exactly it. Both received benefits as the result of family connections that would be unlikely for someone without those family connections. Who you like more/who is more deserving is really irrelevant to how each got there.

I like her. She seems sweet, genuine, and relatable. Did her name get her in? Of course, it did. But it still doesn't change the fact that she's good at what she does. Honestly, anyone with a famous or politically connected parent would be stupid not to use their name as an opportunity to open doors for them. I'd rather see someone do that and be successful at it versus someone who does drugs and pisses away their talent and money.

I know this forum is focused on JBH who I can't stand but what of the other Today show cast? Yeah Hoda is Hoda... overly perky and annoying along with her spiritual twin sis Savannah. BUT I am really beginning to tire of Dylan and her special brand of self aggrandizing narcissism. I know she and her family have had several health issues and to that I say Godspeed and may all be well with you and your loved ones soon.

BUT I really had no interest in your fertility issues then or now along with the incessant "concerns" expressed by some wondering how is Dylan and her family today? Yeah right, as if you're the only one facing challenges especially during this pandemic era! Sorry Dylan but I liked you a whole lot more as a meteorologist at Channel 7 in Boston. At least there you had relevance.

Thank you! Too perfect perky Dylan has always annoyed me too. I know it was hard and she had a miscarriage, but she ended up having another baby naturally after only like six months of “infertility” and she had the second when the other kid was only 2. I had 4 miscarriages and never was able to have another one, so I found the whole overwrought story of her infertility journey to be a bit much. Overall though, she just reminds me of the typical too perfect entitled, pristine, petite blond princess type whose you know what doesn’t stink. I will take someone real and imperfect like JBH any day. On another note, Shaneille bores the sh!t out of me and annoys me too.
