| It seems like well-hung white guys are the most likely to date black women (not afraid of the stereotype because they "measure up"). |
Agree with PP, I don't straigthen my hair to look "white", I straighten it because I like the way it looks on me, I'm prettier with straight here, I have eyes and I can see it in the mirror. I've always been thin but I do have a bit of a butt and I won't trade that for a flat ass. No matter what the media tells you, curvy is still more attractive than thin. If I'm walking down the street, Kim Kardashian will catch my eye before Demi Moore, and I believe MOST guys will say the same thing. There is something about full breasts, a flat stomach and a bubble butt that just screams sex. And anything that screams sex is the standard of beauty people aspire to. There are too many ugly blondes so I won't even touch that one |
Afro-Asian or Afro-Japanese |
| 10:25, Do you ever stop to think why you think you look prettier with straight hair rather than your natural hair? |
Yes they do. They go out of their way to be extra nice, it seems. White men try to "talk black" more that white women, in my experience. They end up sounding like bumbling idiots though. |
I know what you're getting at, but I don't think it's about what society tells me is pretty. I have had a natural afro, braided hair, curly ringlets and straight hair and of all of those, curly ringlets flatters my face the most, followed by straight hair. When I leave home in the morning, I try to leave with whatever look my eyes find attractive. |
| Question for AA women, what reasons do you find cause you to dislike other AA women? do you find it harder or easier to become friends with other AA females? |
| The same thing that would cause me to dislike any female: Having a shitty attitude or going out of their way to be disagreable/make me feel unwelcome in their little world. |
NP, I'm an AA who has no idea what this is. |
This is a myth. I don't find it hard to get along with other black women and I certainly don't dislike them "just because". My company is probably 95% white and while I am acquaintances with a few white women, I've formed a closer bond with almost all of the black women here. I would wager that black women don't get along with one another for the same reason why some white women don't get along with other white women: personality clashes, jealousy, etc. |
Mumbo sauce isn't really an AA thing; it's more a DC thing. ps. LOVE mumbo sauce, but haven't had it in some time. |
You know wrong, I can and do wash my hair everyday. But I'm a female wearing my hair naturally. White women who get their hair blown out don't wash their hair everyday either, it's the same thing for AA women who go to the salon for relaxers. |
I don't like loud, aggressive, obnoxious people, and in my experience, you find these kind of people in ALL races not just AA. I don't find it any easier or harder to become friends with other AA females, the bottom line is always do we "get" each other and the fact that you are AA doesn't always make this so. |
Everybody in American fantasized about this, whether they admit it or not. (AA female here, married to a WM). |

OP:
Other than the President of the United States and his wife, who do you think the best role models are in today's black community? Public figures, I mean. |
