| OP, why do you hate palladian windows? |
Even if price.wasn't an issue |
| Beige. Beige, beige, beige in any new subdivision. I just hate beige! But then my childhood house had neighbors of bittersweet orange, cherry red, chocolate brown, butter yellow, and cadet blue. Not that we need return to these colorful excesses of the 1970s, but just unrelieved beige is so tiresome. |
Often poorly made in new homes. Just look silly from a design perspective. |
My guess is the owner of this home didn't paint it this color, her builder did. It so wasteful to have to redo all the crap that builders build. |
And yet, 99% of houses have been built with garages in the front. What are ya gonna do? |
On the contrary, we like smaller spaces. Easier to clean, heat, live in - we purposely chose a 1928 bungalow and not a new, large home for this reason. +1 |

I hate wall-to-wall carpeting
And granite countertops. And stainless steel appliances. I love tile on a sun room floor, but hate it in the kitchen. I hate pink, blue or green toilets and bathtubs from the 60s. (don't mind the tile as much) Hate houses that have over 3 bathrooms. Am with you OP, on the two-story foyer. Especially with chandeliers. |
I like the color, and the shingles. Though I wouldn't want the house (too big for us.) |
No you wouldn't because this would look stupid, mismatched, and obvious to any potential buyers. |
Will someone please, please for the love of God tell my DH this? I keep arguing that if the house is in solid shape we can fix the "ugly" over time. |
|
Here's something I hate: When people confuse the word "home" with the word "house".
I had a realtor once who kept talking about selling my home. I'm selling my house, you bimbo! I'm taking my home with me! |
| red brick houses that were once painted white and have now been shittly jet washed leaving a half white half red look. terrible. |
This is a really nice house, color, windows, size, and all. I'm pretty sure 99% of the people in the world would love to live in this house. |
