Crazy. Did they declare Hoco the winner due to a MDU forfeit or ended game and score at time stayed? Doesn’t matter. Same result. Crazy.

Not to be pedantic but the ref did call it first, then she (NGLL) walked out on the field and confirmed it.

Not that it matters. Clearly it was out of control.

I just feel badly for the kids. This is all adults acting poorly.

The Hoco parents were out of line so the game was called? And then Hoco gets to win?

How embarrassing for these parents.

Or was it that the Hoco parents did not need to get out of line because they were fine with the way it was going aka illegal play by their team abound?

It’s not illegal if the refs don’t call a foul. Sounds like sour grapes from a lot of moms and dads from other teams who thought their snowflakes were amazing lacrosse players only to run up against more physical players and better athletes. Get used to it. All that wall ball you did with your daughter when she was six years old won’t make up for the difference in athleticism and grit that the better players display.

HOCO 34 doesn't look very athletic. They are just practicing more than the other teams at this age.

Why are HOCO parents even posting on here? Y'all don't live anywhere close to DC.

HOCO has been reported to the NGLL for out of control play by multiple teams. Also, illegal things can happen that refs don't catch/call. They are human, mistakes happen. Doesn't mean it's not illegal.

Because Baltimore area doesn’t have a catty of a girls lacrosse forum?

All kidding aside, same reason why the IAAM and M&D and Hero’s are discussed. Let them post and add their crazy to the mix.

Why is a stranger insulting my 9 year old daughter? Are you okay?

Because she’s doing stuff that’s illegal and she’s so good at it that she’s able to do it without refs noticing. How else could you explain her beating my 9 year old who I know for sure is the best lax player out there and destined for D1?

Because Back of the Cage is gone. RIP. Too bad - they would have loved it there.

This is a weird post because HoCo 34 are one of the least athletic teams I've seen. They are more lesser skilled grinders who seem to practice together a lot and play on/across the line to try to intimidate.

Keep kidding yourself. They scored 128 goals this season - 40 more goals than the next team. And gave up 18, almost 35 less than the next lowest team. But yeah, just some skilled grinders who, in their infinite wisdom as 9 and 10 year olds, know how to play just dirty enough in order to psychologically intimidate their opponents without getting penalties called on them.

Anyone with high-level sports experience knows that at younger ages have hyper-structured systems-based play usually beats more athletic and talented teams. The flip side of that is that those players in those systems rarely develop skills at the same level, because the coaches trade wins at the young ages for reduced skill and sports IQ development. That is exactly what I see with HoCo 34s. Put their players one-on-one against players from any of the other top teams and they will probably lose every matchup. Playing a team game at 9 years old and they will probably win. Play a team game when they all turn 12, and they will probably lose badly.
