Does anyone planning to go anticipate taking extra security measures for themselves like masking, wearing sunglasses if that works against recognition systems or leaving smart devices at home?

My phone will be in airplane mode. I will be wearing a hat and sunglasses, and a mask to help with the pollen.

I have considered infrared blocking sunglasses.

But unmask ICE?

Yes. Please don't say you can't see the difference.

I do. The ICE agent faces an actual threat.

What kind of weak pansies are working for ice? Take off your mask, get a badge, get some legal warrants, get some training on how to be a professional law enforcement agent to do your job without gunning down nurses and teachers in the streets.

They are J6b losers who cannot get a job anywhere else.

These people are mostly financially strapped people with poor educations, few skills, few job prospects. They belong to MAGA because it empowers them to hate the libs (they probably couldn't name 5 things that liberals stand for).

I don't blame the ICE agents for their lack of training or qualifications for the job or even for their cowardice. They are unintelligent losers with guns. What do you expect will happen?

Need 12 million people to reach the 3.5% at which change is effected.

June 2025 was about 4 to 6 million and October was 5 to 7 million.

Will people be more energized or have they reached protest exhaustion?

They’re sick of wasting their time because nothing changes.

Some say that change happens when a critical mass is reached. I wonder whether the protests outside Minneapolis- St Paul will be bigger than ever or if people have given up already.

LOL. That's absolutely not true. If anything, it brings a collective, inspiring energy. That's worth it's weight in gold. To know that there are decent humans out there. Every honk from every passing car in support alters the negative MAGA energy swirling around our once-great country.

Trump wants us to stay home, so if you don't want to listen to him, go out for an hour on Saturday.

Feeling part of the collective energy is inspiring! If you do a local one you may meet neighbors.

You just made the PP’s point. It it only makes people feel good without effecting change. What is the point? You have to hit Trump’s pocketbooks if you want to stop him.

Historically protests have mattered. And, any inspiration leads to action, so I disagree. I can't believe this has to be explained.

Also, the only way to hit Trump's pocketbook is to stop paying taxes, since he's raiding the Treasury. Are you not paying taxes in April? Otherwise, stop your nonsense.

Also, Trump wants people to feel drained and divisive. Anyone telling people that protests don't work, is doing Trump's work for him.

The more people stick together, the more the billionaire class understands there is more than us than there is of them.

Stop doing Trump's dirty work!

You can't turn out on two sunny Saturday afternoons and expect the world to change. The Civil Rights movement didn't achieve anything with two marches. The American Revolution wasn't a two day event. If you actually want change, you have to show up repeatedly and persist until you either force change or overpowering action from those in power.

Large numbers are good. Large numbers that aren't going home until is what is required to get change. That's why most modern revolutions are driven by student action in college vacations.

If you want change - No Kings every (k)night!

Can someone familiar with the platform of this protest post it? From what I’ve read it is not clear at all.

It's No Kings -- whatever that means to you. Or, be bold and carry any sign you like. It's not a graded school assignment.

Actually, you missed something. Participation can feel inspired AND effect change. One of those doesn’t exclude the other. It’s a lot easier to plan and act to create change when you’re part of a collective.

As to his pocketbook, that’s not the only thing that will stop Trump. At the moment, the impacts of Trump’s policies and actions are hitting his base. Many of them are starting to connect the dots. Protests may soon be coming at him from multiple directions.

No one was "executed" by ICE. Words have meaning.
