Do you not understand what “federal level” means? Or are you just pretending to be dumb? |
|
They are so used to Dems not fighting back that I think they were genuinely shocked it happened this time |
Oh, please....... |
Now do the other side. While you're at it why not look at the # of representatives the state has in the first place. It sounds scary to say Vermont has no republican representatives, but it only has 1 seat. So, big whoop. I'll give you a hint, there are more Republican states with zero Democratic representatives and more with larger delegations of larger than 4 representatives that are solely Republican. Figures don't lie, but liars figure. |
You are the liar. List the republican states with zero Democratic representatives. It has to be more than 9 to make your statement true. |
Nope, not a liar, let's play. On the Democratic side Connecticut 5 Delaware 1 Hawaii 2 Massachusetts 9 New Hampshire 2 New Mexico 3 Rhode Island 2 Vermont 1 Maine 2 On the Republican side Alaska 1 Arkansas 4 Idaho 2 Iowa 4 Montana 2 Nebraska 3 North Dakota 1 Oklahoma 5 South Dakota 1 Utah 4 West Virginia 2 Wyoming 1 So Democrats: 27 seats, 9 states, 7 with delegation greater than 1, 2 with more than 4 per my original claim And Republicans: 30 seats, 12 states, 8 with delegation greater than 1, 4 with more than 4 per my original claim Your move. |
Oh, and figures above provided via duck duck go's enhanced search (let's not call it "ai"), if anyone wishes to check the work, but double checked against factually.co, so high confidence, but maybe something slipped through
|
You are accusing states with one representative of gerrymandering? What are they supposed to do, split the dude in half? |
|
I am a solid anti-Trump Democrat, but I'm just not sure I can get on board with gerrymandering VA when I've railed against it when the Republicans do it in other states.
Also, and maybe more practically, I don't feel that the way they are proposing to divide things up in VA will give me the best representation. I like the districts now because it feels like my community. If they change the boundaries I'll be lumped in with people who don't have any of the same local concerns as me. Is that on anyone else's mind? |
yes. it's ridiculous. |
| To claim that they are "restoring fairness" on the ballot is ridiculous. They are disenfranchising a huge portion of Virginians from having representation familiar with their areas. |
|
This is simply a defensive move to try to counteract the Republicans unethical moves.
It’s not ideal but this is the world we live in today. MAGA trash brings us all down. |
Fck them. |
