Look at how they were raised. They were constantly on display and expected to perform for the camera so mom and dad could get a paycheck. They are probably glad to be away from both parents. Also the parents do not live on their childhood home any more. A lot of times kids don't visit parents as much when there is not a home to return to.

It’s so easy not to yell when you are completely checked out acting like yet another kid. He helped make the kids, he should have stepped up but he didn’t. His adult kids don’t talk to him. That tells you all you need to know. They probably saw how much more difficult they made their mom’s life, not to mention never gave them a dime.

A woman is responsible if she meets and marries a guy who is a checked out loser and then expects him to be dynamic and assertive.

She knew what he was but she made eight kids with him and then blamed him for being exactly like he was when they married. People do not change. The person you marry will have the same character after 5 years of marriage as they did when you were dating. If people would understand this there would be a lot fewer divorces.

Do you know how babies are made? Jon certainly made a choice here. He should have gotten a vasectomy if parenthood wasn’t for him.

I am in no way excusing him from responsibility, but it is possible that he didn’t really speak up about his true feelings about having a litter of children. And then when the reality of being a family of 10 actually hit and doing the reality show helped the finances, maybe that was ok at first. But then he saw things were going south and wanted out and she obviously didn’t. Again, I didn’t watch their show and really only know the bits and pieces I have caught here or on the news. Just thinking that this might be the simple version of events. Yes, he could have done things differently and not partied, etc. All the adults involved did not handle things well.

She’s been doing videos on her day to day nursing job and home organization. He’s been partying and drinking and still DJs. New fiancée seems to treat him like sh&t on live TikTok.

The only reason people do is because they don't listen to their doctors (who would encourage reducing the pregnancy through selective abortion early on) and instead listen to some old white dude who runs a church out of his basement.

And then once the higher order multiples are here, they get exploited for tv shows. It's gross.

+1 - I think you already have a screw or two loose when you go through with a pregnancy like this. There's a reason it's rare.

The McCaughey’s did a good job of not exploiting their kids. They did a story once a year and otherwise just carried on with life.
