California senator physically manhandled and forced out of Noem presser

Oh they have the excuse for that read already, he was protecting national security and is a hero for that. They'll say Jefferson shot a man on the lawn of white house for treason (although that claim is proven to be inaccurately propagated by a movie, but won't matter to maga). I know some of them, and the kind of about turns they have taken on every single thing is unbelievable, some of them will give up their first born if trump asked. It's a strange condition.

No one is above the law. He should have shown his senate pin and identified himself prior to engagement with officers, not shoved the agents and followed legal orders. No arrest occurred.

He absolutely identified himself and he’s wearing his pin. Stop lying.

Padilla knew what he was doing when he intentionally picked a physical fight for the viral moment.

This is theater for the cheap seats, same as what Trump does.

His state and constituents are under military invasion by the POTUS. Did you think he should stand by and do nothing?

He was not wearing the required senate pin. He can’t assume his words will be trusted in a setting like that, that’s why you have to carry the ID. Which he wasn’t.

He wasn't disrupting. He was asking a question at a press conference. The only disruption was when the thugs intervened.

Wasn’t disrupting?! Watch the video. He was interrupting and shoving agents to approach Noem. He needs to behave like a professional.

He was defending himself from their assault after he identified himself as a sitting US senator.

Nope. That's not what happened. He was rude, angry, belligerent, and disruptive.

Fox News is not showing the part where he identifies himself as a Senator.

Because, of course they wouldn’t, why give the cult the truth.

Padilla does not have subpoena power because his party is not in the majority. Can you people please make stuff up somewhere else?

Padilla has lived next door here in DC to me since becoming a senator in 2021. Didn't know he was a senator until last year. He isn't well known and understand why the secret service did what they did to protect a cabinet member.

Gavin and Bass should have secured the city and allowed the ICE agents to do their job. Unfortunately they weren’t up to the task according to LAPD and so the feds were lawfully brought in to secure federal buildings. Very appropriate action.

The lawfulness of bringing in "the feds" to "secure federal buildings" is being determined right now in a hearing in front of a judge.

Ftr, it's not looking good.

Oh come on, you really think SCOTUS won’t allow a president to secure federal buildings and ensure federal actions? It’s not even a close constitutional call.

You can’t just yell out “I’m a senator” as if everyone will trust that. And it doesn’t justify pushing agents.

As evidenced by the agents’ actions, you can’t. That’s why you wear the security pin. They don’t know him from Adam.
