No, because support for Hamas isn’t getting better. Americans don’t support terrorists.

Nobody outside of Gaza supports Hamas. Even inside Gaza people are demonstrating against Hamas. Stop with this propaganda that equates supporting Palestinian rights with being “pro Hamas.” That is utter BS.

NP. Given the number of protests in the US where protestors are waving Hamas flags, you are clearly lying.

What utter BS. I have never, ever seen a Hamas flag at a pro-Palestine demonstration.

Oh for God’s sake, cut the stupidity. There are plenty of photos from the past year on various news sites, if you are able to manage that basic task.

I am so sick and tired of the gaslighting and lies that come from both the pro-Palestinian and pro-Israeli side. I want to wash my hands of the whole d*** region. Both sides are full of bloodthirsty terrible liars.

My opinion of Israel and its supporters has sharply declined over the past year, so I would be part of this poll. But you know what else has sharply declined? My opinion of Palestine and its supporters.

They all deserve each other.

Oh please. Like you ever had a high opinion of Palestinians. That’s laughable.

I used to go to protests on behalf of Palestine. I sent repeated letters to my reps criticizing Israel and arguing for aid to Palestine. I suspect that’s more than 99% of the Hamas-flag lovers on university campuses today.

That was all well before Oct. 7th. I of course do nothing of the sort now.

DP. You're full of shit. Try harder, troll.

Oh please. You just can’t imagine anybody disagreeing with you, because you are a religious fundamentalist.

NP and I don’t find your history of Palestinian support credible, either. If you are grown enough to post your nonsense, you should be grown enough to take the responses.

If you can’t comprehend that reasonable people could be credibly be disgusted by Palestinian actions (10/7 and more), and therefore change their minds on how they support the Palestinian liberation efforts, you are nothing more than a cultist.

I’m disgusted by what I’ve seen. I also want to defund Israel entirely, so this isn’t because I support Israel, but I am disgusted by the Palestinians as well.

The idea that 10/7 is some glorious act of liberation is not a view held by rational people, all radical leftist propaganda notwithstanding.

You make discussion impossible, and it’s not the act of a rational adult. I don’t know anyone personally who views 10/7 in that way, and yet they still abhor the Israeli official, funded and armed response. I stand with the Sanders view of this and he has never once used your kind of manipulative whiny teenager language to frame things. Grow up.

You are the whiny, irrational teenager who insists that the Palestinians can’t be criticized or that people can change their opinions on Palestine. You grow up.

And because you are incapable of nuance, I’ll repeat what I said before: I deplore the Israeli response. As I have now said multiple times — but that you ignore because your cult programming doesn’t allow complex thought — I am in that group of people whose opinions of Israel have sharply dropped. But you know what has also sharply dropped? My opinions of Palestine.

I am so sick of extremist left-wing pro-Palestine cultists. You people cannot have a single rational conversation.

Didn’t write a thing that fits into your sad little rant. Get help, lady.

You desperately need cult deprogramming, but you won’t get it.

Another Zaren that tries to deflect genocidal responsibility by both siding the issue. Classic hasbara speak.

It’s always so telling how quickly radical leftists devolve into grotesque sexism when they encounter the slightest disagreement.

+1000 history shows that both "sides" in this ongoing conflict prefer death and destruction of the other "side" over peace and compromise. I have love and empathy for all of the innocent and good people in that region who are continually caught up in the bloodshed caused by the awful leadership in the region.

I say eff you to both of these awful "sides" and to the people that claim to support their bloodshed.

So: fellow cultists include -
- Jewish Senator Sanders
- Everyone at the UN
- Most college students
- A significant percentage of Jewish Israelís
- A significant percentage of American Jews
- The Irish
- Spaniards
- South Africans
- The American citizen attorneys defending graduate students in Louisiana
- Everyone on each part of the political spectrum who knows about the USS Liberty (incl my dad, who was a grunt Naval researcher in the Pentagon at the time, was required to summarize the intelligence reports for Congress as part of a team, and is a die-hard centrist Democratic voter for life)
- Jimmy Carter
- the Pope
- Miss Rachel (hell maybe we should add “all children and caregivers responsible for her 10 billion YouTube views)
- The Guardian
- healthy slice of European op ed boards
- a growing slice of Americans, who at minimum don’t want enormous financial support leaving here and going there for any party for any reason

Gosh. How will we each manage to find a time slot to get deprogrammed to see the light?

DP

Sure, Jan.

What would the small thinkers even do without you and your tribe of chosen people to help us understand it all? Lol

P.S. They let you off easy by leaving out the part where governments representing over 95% of the global population have gone on record at the U.N. to condemn Israel’s policies and actions in Gaza and the West Bank.

Oh for Pete’s sake. You are hopeless.

Are you always so incapable of complex thought?

DP

I’m not Jewish, but typical of your inability to hold complex thoughts that you think I must be. I am no supporter of Israel. Literally all I am saying is that I view both Israel and Palestine far more negatively than I did a few years ago. But because you are a cult member, you can’t accept that. You see everything associated with Palestine as good, and everything associated with Israel as bad. That’s your simple-minded cultist world view at work. But it’s not really my problem.

The both sides view is always quite amusing. Only one side is an occupying apartheid force committing genocide and ethnic cleansing on a majority women and children population.

For obvious reasons, it's only this genocide in particular, that people want to use the "both sides" argument probably to excuse or reduce culpability of Israel from its war crimes. I'm sure if these same people were alive during the Holocaust, they'd probably "both sides" it as well.

Ah, the “Palestinians never do anything wrong” view. So simplistic.

I can’t imagine living on that tiny Gaza Strip walled off of the rest of the world and having any love for Israelis. I would hate Hamas too. That any of lead successful lives is amazing and many of them do.

There are reasons more and more people are turning against Israel. The pictures of children with limbs blown off and apartment buildings crushed. Civilians are the targets and those are war crimes.

Netanyahu is a compulsive liar and a war criminal. At the beginning it wasn’t so obvious but as he’s gotten bolder it’s become more clear.

Netanyahu lied about Israeli soldiers gunning down ambulance with flashing lights and 15 medics and emergency responders, some of the workers were with the UN and Red Cross. War crimes. Soldiers then claimed that they saw vehicles heading towards them with no lights on and saw it as an attack. Video showed that they lied, the lights and sirens were on and they found two ambulances and 15 bodies tossed onto holes and buried.

In February Israel bombed a UN building housing refugees. They killed 19 people, 9 of them were children.

Last month Israel bombed a UN safe house killing a Belgian UN worker and injuring 9 other foreign UN members.

Israel has billions of dollars from the US, they have an actual country with an organized army. They have these domes that protect them. There are other options but instead they have turned from defensively protecting themselves to being the aggressors. Their violence against civilians and foreign aid workers is no better than what Hamas is doing. They need to find another way.

The I agree on Israel’s right to exist. I do not agree with the idea that an entire nation needs to be sacrificed in order for some others to live in comfort.
Netanyahu is wrong.
Israel does not need to continue the Gaza offensive or expand the West Bank settlements.
