The work calendar that was last updated in late March still shows a meeting for April 10th, but you're right that they've taken it off the normal place on Board Docs ("Featured" meetings). Maybe they didn't want speakers signing up and calling for McDaniel's resignation? |

It is still there under the meeting tab. And the main action item is third quarter budget review. Have to review the documents for road trips and miscellaneous expenses. |

I wish we had more moderates on both the school board and in local government. Everything is so polarized. It doesn't create good governance. |

It would appear that way. For one thing, to get the endorsement from the Fairfax Dems, you must be a progressive activist. And, the Fairfax GOP will endorse anyone who is willing to run against them--and, anyone with any sense knows it is a losing battle to run against a Dem in Fairfax County. So, you don't get good candidates endorsed from either party. |

Some posts say FCPS or School Board out out statement on this? Link?

He is an elected official. He can’t be “put on leave.” Only coters have authority over him. Read the thread. |

They make $48,000, have to work way more than part time and endure nonstop vitriol from the community. Add that to the political hoops that are required to have a chance to win, and you don’t get normal parents as board members. |

We had a normal, centrist parent who planned to run for school board in our district in the last election As soon as Blue Virginia caught wind of it, some of their members started going after her kids. Of course, she pulled back and decided not to run, as any normal person would. The far left activists ruin everything. |
