Good. The state should
It have the poster to execute people. It can be improperly utilized AND we know innocent people are killed. Too many mistakes and it’s one that can’t be undone.

This doesn’t mean those people are good people. But prison alone is sufficient.

And the bloodlust on this issue is gross. Ugly. And for those of you pro-life types, its unchristian.

What’s disturbing to me is the selective bloodlust. Shout up a Black church or bomb the Boston marathon? Death! Everyone else that’s done evil things? Our morals compel compassion.

He didn’t pardon them. They’re all still going to rot in prison until the day they day. He just saved taxpayers millions by making them life sentences instead.

With that, Biden should have a day where all these victim families get to line up and tell them about their suffering. He will forget it the next day, but will be catharsis for the victims.

The next day? That is a very generous assessment of our president’s cognitive abilities. His memory of the event would be measured in minutes.

These pardons were necessary to make his son appear to be a reasonable human being by comparison.

I believe in the sanctity of life and the appropriateness of the death penalty in specific circumstances as authorized in the Bible. Thanks for your faux concern.

The Bible says a lot of stupid shit, and contradicts itself on capital punishment numerous times.

Who cares if you believe in it or not? I don’t. But don’t attempt to tell practicing Christians what their own theology is.

DP Don't bring it up if you don't want people to give their thoughts and opinions. Just keep it moving because King James book is full of contradictions

Who were the 3 people he did not commute their death sentences?

Is this the comment where the poster equilibrates the life of an unborn child and a ruthless, convicted terrorist?

So much for all life being sacred from conception to natural death.

What I find infuriating, unforgivable, hypercritical and downright ridiculous is that Biden played God to decide who gets mercy and who doesn't. That is unethical, unlawful per current statutes and totally shameful.

This is what's wrong with the entire administration and why they lost the a presidency, Senate and House. They are totally illogical, ridiculous and just dumb assets in general.

Well SCOTUS said the POTUS is GOD.

No you dumbass.
SCOTUS said that Presidents have immunity from prosecution for doing things in their official capacity.
Insurrection is not something they do in their official capacity.
Treason is not something they do in their official capacity.

You know what, just read the goddam opinion instead of getting your information from twitter.

You butt hurt. You kiss your mother with that naughty mouth of yours. POTUS is GOD for all their actions while serving as POTUS. Take it up with Roberts because Trump got away with insurrection and probably treason as well.

Liar. Otherwise they would have charged him with insurrection. Why didn’t they??

I bet Fox News is counting on their viewers to be too stupid to understand that he took them off death row and now they are in prison for life with no possibility of parole. They’ll insinuate these people are getting out of prison, their usual lies.

Biden is against the death penalty and did what he thought was right.

You can’t have the death penalty when the legal system is as twisted as it is. Too many incompetent/corrupt cops, DAs, lawyers and judges. If you’ve got money then you’re very unlikely to get the death penalty. That alone should disqualify the death penalty.

Why did he wait four years?

You are both delusional and a liar. I will be glad when you cult followers finally drink his special Kool-Aid

Anonymous wrote:Biden shouldn’t have commuted the sentences of the inmates who killed correctional officers. I’m liberal and I understand the academic arguments against the death penalty but I think it’s appropriate in some circumstances. My main concern with the death penalty is that an innocent person could be convicted. But when the murder happens in a correctional facility, there are cameras and witnesses.

I think the death penalty is an appropriate sentence for inmates who kill COs, especially if they are already in jail serving life sentences. Without the prospect of a death sentence, there’s little to disincentivize murderers from killing more people in jail.

Exactly.

Death penalty costs taxpayers more than life w/o parole. Biden saved us money AND did the civilized thing. Win, win.

It's been rumored for several weeks that Biden is planning to enact the longest pardon list in history. Overturning all these death sentences is just the beginning.
