Why did Arab majority Deerborn, Michigan go for Trump?

My guess is they probably know it doesn’t make a hill of beans of difference who is president in regards to affairs over there. The president has to do what he’s told so the issues in the Middle East are not a factor in voting.

We'll certainly find out soon enough.

But they obviously realize that a Trump administration would be just as supportive of Israel. I would assume that they would go with the candidate who belongs to a party that has a significant faction of people opposed to supporting Israel, which is non-existent in the Republican party. Can anyone help me make sense of this?

Because your dumb woke ass was pushing M->F and F->M as THE main part of its platform. It spent more time on LGBTQIAWTFBBQ, than things of importance. Islam doesn't go for that.

Have a nice day.

Perhaps because democrats said he was Hitler?

Those who refused to vote Harris because of Israel/Palestine and either didn't vote or voted for Stein are the most perplexing thing of this entire election.

Stein was never FOR Palestine. Trump is certainly not for Palestine. What was the point?

Trump is almost certainly going to aid Israel as soon as he's in office so they can finish the job and take control of Gaza. At least Harris would have been open to negotiating peace or a deal between the two. Trump is not going to go for that at all. He's going to help Israel and he's going to help Russia defeat and expand into Ukraine.

Just like a non-vote for Clinton ended up being a vote for Trump in 2020, a non-vote for Harris in 2024 was a vote for Trump. Congrats.

WOW. Delusional RW propaganda. The left was not even remotely "promoting M->F and F->M as THE main part of its platform." NOT EVEN REMOTELY.
If you earnestly believe this then it's understandable why you voted Trump. It's because you are gullible and were lied to and believed this crazy propaganda. Congratulations. And dumb, gullible people are the reason we can't have nice things.

I'll say it again and again until the cows come home:

The Palestinian-Americans and Lebanese-Americans who voted for Stein or Trump now have the blood of every Palestinian and every Lebanese to die in the next 4 years on their hands. Even if well-intentioned, to "punish" dems, you put perfect in the way of good and the consequence will be bad.

But Republicans on another thread are telling us that had nothing to do with the election at all. They are claiming that all Republicans love the LGBTQI+ community and no trans people should be concerned at all.

lol what nonsense. Would Harris have stopped the carnage in Gaza and Lebanon? no. Has she showed the slightest inclination to restrain Israel? no. Has she visited Arab American communities? no. Has she sat down with Arab Americans? no. Has she allowed them to speak at her events? no. Has she parroted the same lines about ironclad support and best friend ally? yes. Nothing would have changed under her. Nothing at all. Nothing did change under Biden. But you want us to believe, against all available evidence, that guns would have fallen quiet under her.

Okay.

Biden was aiding Israel.

Harris was aiding Israel.

Trump will aid Israel.

Potatoe, potato.

Arabs don't care about Ukraine. They are only aware of it as proof of American hypocrisy that weeps over Ukrainian dead babies but glosses over Palestinian dead babies.

Many Arabs regard the US and Israel as one and the same. The bombs falling on their heads and the delivery systems are American, it’s just the labor that is subbed out. They think of themselves as being attacked by the US and the prez doesn’t matter. So they probably vote on other issues.

The Middle Eastern community of SE MI is not a monolith, though.

So, in other words, they would never support a woman as president.

Multiculturalism amirite?

What a waste of a vote. Wish people like Stein would drop out after the conventions.

If anything, a vote for stein did exactly what they wanted. It got the Ds to at least notice them. It ore them at your own peril, DNC. Their vote for Stein was never about getting her elected.

A vote for Stein was a vote for Trump.

And, it doesn't matter a damn bit whether the D's notice them or not when you force the D's to lose and they are then powerless to help you.

Bottom line is that a lot more Gazans and a lot more Lebanese will suffer and die over the next four years.

They are powerless THIS election cycle.
A vote for stein is not a vote for trump. It is no worse than just not voting at all.
But a vote for stein at least tells people you are willing to get off your ass and vote but don't like the options.

Personally I voted for Harris but I voted R the rest of the way down because of other issues.

The main thing that got through was that they were focused on DEI, Trans stuff and equity BS while Gaza was burning the borders were open and prices are 25-50% higher than they were when Biden took office. The focus was on ideology not America.
