Now--after all the kids have worked so hard is the time to enjoy the performance. The principal is showing school spirit and support.

I mostly agree, but she doesn’t need to be in stripper boots to show support. Simply standing in front of the poster and saying “get your tickets” would have been fine.

Strippers don't wear boots.... you think they wear what julia roberts wore ... lol, you so silly.

Ok. It doesn’t matter. Still not appropriate for school.

Move back to Utah

Why are you so obsessed with introducing these things in public schools where a substantial portion of families find them inappropriate and offensive?
You are free to take your kid to drag shows if you think that's best for them, but why expose other kids to this against their families' will?

Your the only one obsessed.

I want my kids to know about everything in their education. It's called education. It's unimaginable that you think it's offensive but are okay with plays with teens that drink and have sex or are in a gang.

You can't erase people, if you would like to keep your kids home.

You should go see it and get educated. You sound completely uneducated.

Exactly. She’s clearly advertising the school play and trying on their costumes. Totally appropriate. Stop hating on her. Shame on you for trying to shame her.

You are going to see way worse than this in life. Do you take your kid to NYC, Vegas on vacations? Or any big city in the US or around the world? This is for a play. Some people dress like this in real life every day. You can't shelter your kids. This is for fun. It's for a school play. Talk to your kids.

Yeah, home school, shelter your kids. I'm sure they have seen way worse on TikTok. Get a life!

Pictures speak for themselves.
Some of you might be ok with it, some of you might not.

I may be mistaken, but wasn't the movie at least a complete bait-and-switch? There were no women like this principal wearing boots in the film (and probably not in the musical, either).

Just saying.

Your poor kids.

I’m an atheist but plan to send my kids to a Christian school to avoid this crap.

Schools shouldn’t be in the business of promoting sexual appropriation of historically oppressed people by oppressors.

What's there not to be ok with? Whatever are you on about?

No, you are obsessed.
If you want to give your kids far-left education because these are the values you believe in, you are free to do so.
Same as I'm free to give my kids our values as well.
But a public[u] school should be a neutral ground and not home to controversial ideologies.
What would you say if some crazy far-right weirdo principal was taking his/her photo-shoot in maga costumes? Would you then take your kid home?

I agree. And this from a guy that never went to a show of any kind until I was 30!. Just had no exposure to the arts = but they make for a fuller life.

No we aren’t planning a Vegas vacation ever. NYC maybe when older. But I don’t recall a bunch of drag queens the last time I was in NYC - seeing the Lion King on Broadway.
