This is the real issue.

Kinky Boots isn’t an appropriate musical.

Have you actually seen the show? Cyndy Lauper's score is fantastic and there is really nothing "kinky" about it. I guess you are just another one of those people who think the presence of drag queens is "grooming" your high schooler.

The love story between Charlie and Lauren is so sweet and the show promotes creative thinking, dedication, and love.

Yeah. Totally inappropriate/

I'd never heard of it so I googled it. It sounds like an amazing, sweet story. What is your objection?

This.

She also seems to want the kids to like and approve of her, not the best take in her position.

You might find it appropriate, but others don't. Please respect other peoples' views.
Regardless, this whole thing is controversial and therefore shouldn't be advertised in a public school.

You have to have a real reason to think it is inappropriate and don't want it performed in school. Certainly, your isnsitence that it is not and should be swept away is not respectful of people who think differently than yo.

What are the kids doing exactly?

Putting on a muscial.

Hahahah PP is upset and doesn’t even realize this is a musical.

Sorry, I don't think drag queens are appropriate for school.

I also think a principal in stripper boots isn't appropriate either. Also cringe.

Pearl clutchers don't like that the play has characters who are drag queens.
