Have you actually seen the show? Cyndy Lauper's score is fantastic and there is really nothing "kinky" about it. I guess you are just another one of those people who think the presence of drag queens is "grooming" your high schooler.

The love story between Charlie and Lauren is so sweet and the show promotes creative thinking, dedication, and love.

Yeah. Totally inappropriate/

You might find it appropriate, but others don't. Please respect other peoples' views.
Regardless, this whole thing is controversial and therefore shouldn't be advertised in a public school.

What specific part of the spring musical do you object to? Is it just the name?

High school musical theater often pushes the envelope a little. WP did Legally Blonde last year. FHS did the Laramie Project in the fall. Bethesda Chevy Chase is doing Rent (HS edition) this year.

This is all fine. Everyone just be cool please.

The only people who think it's inappropriate never saw it.

Let's do West Side Story where we promote gang violence.

Ok, everyone should comply because you say so.

It's a free world, don't go, don't let your kids go, but don't push your small minded ideologies on everybody... especially when you support Grease and country music (which is 90% geting drunk and stalking your ex)

Whoever plays Lola has big shoes to fill. Billy Porter is the only Lola.

It’s for a show. She’s fun. Get a life. Move on.

You really think that is kinky? I’ll show you kinky! Come on over big boy!

She's rocking those boots! Good idea to promote a school activity.

The performance is about making sexy looking boots to save a factory town in England folks.

I should remind you that we are talking about a public school here, which should be offered to all kids, and should not discourage families because of some controversial ideologies.

I think they should do Footloose next year in homage to the small minded freak-out happening over Kinky Boots.

OMG look at all the whiny ass parents with their "this is too woke", "too inappropriate". Bet you clutched your pearls during "Book of Mormon". No wonder your kids are in therapy later on.

I also think a principal in stripper boots isn't appropriate either. Also cringe.

100% this. Kids don’t need to be exposed to drag queens at all. No place for it in schools.

LOL but your okay with Grease where HS kids are banging and drinking and smoking and a girl changes her whole personality to get the guy and oh and good news Kenickie did not knock up Rizzo.

Lol, yall are daft.

No one is talking about Grease. We are talking about Kinky Boots.

How is something with the word "Kinky" ever appropriate in a school environment? I would not be allowed to wear those boots in my office (nor would I want to).

I'm scared to think what things will be like when my 3 year old gets to high school in FCPS. Unfortunately we don't have the funds for private.
