Are you a Gold Star Family member? Who was killed in your family? What are your qualifications to judge Gold Star Families? |
You support a man who had a Gold Star Father arrested. |
Checking your watch isn't being an insensitive prick. Condemning Biden for checking his watch is being an insensitive prick. |
I pay for them. That's my qualification. I get to judge them. |
DP The POTUS did not have him arrested. Was it an offense for which one could be arrested? "Gold Star Parent" is not a pass for behavior. |

Yes, yes, yes. Six million times yes. If there's one thing we know our Blue Team stands for is that we do NOT tolerant misbehavior by anyone under any circumstances---period. We insist on strict adherence to the rule of law by EVERYONE at ALL TIMES. Those who misbehave must be arrested. Period. That's the Blue Team way in all things, without regard to race, creed, or political affiliation. |
So if we pay taxes, we can judge people who receive tax money? People on public benefits? Illegals? You think these families want our money? They don’t care about money. Their children are dead. Their children were torn apart by ball bearings and bled out. Something is very wrong with you, you need help. |
DP I have not read this entire thread, I admit. I'll go back and find those posts. |
Except the protesters blocking the public roadways that made Biden late for SOTU. They were not arrested and removed from the area so Biden could arrive on time. Why was that? |
An attorney said to attend law school because the protesters that delayed Biden were exercising their first amendment rights in free speech zones. The ACLU says blocking roads is not constitutionally protected free speech and that the police can ask you to move or arrest you. The Capitol police did neither to our brave protesters who caused Biden to be late. |
^supporting blocking public roads so Biden could not take the usual and quickest way to the Capitol; thus, he was late. They were trying to censor Biden and keep him from speaking. But that’s “free speech.” |
I don't know what point you are trying to make about how he left. Escorted out by police does not necessarily mean cuffed and duckwalked out. He left flanked by two officers who made sure he left the gallery. As for any other protesters I don't know if they were or weren't arrested. I do know that protesters routinely get arrested in DC, and at the Capitol. So that's yet There were numerous arrests in DC during the BLM protests, as an example. I don't think protesters should be allowed to block traffic and have seen police arrest people for not complying with their orders. It's frankly bizarre that you have some weird notion that only people involved with your pro-Trump cause get arrested for protesting. You seem unaware that MANY people including liberals and including high profile celebrities routinely get arrested for protesting at the Capitol, for example Rosario Dawson in 2016 https://www.theguardian.com/film/2016/apr/15/rosario-dawson-arrested-us-capitol-demonstrations or Ted Danson and Jane Fonda in 2019 https://www.cbsnews.com/news/jane-fonda-ted-danson-arrest-capitol-steps-during-her-weekly-climate-change-protest-fire-drill-friday-washington-dc/ and so on. Really, this imagined conservative persecution complex is really getting quite tired and old. |
I don't recall seeing anyone "supporting" that in this thread. It's weird that you've tried to make that point 5 or 6 times now even though nobody has agreed with it. |
Protestors blocked traffic near US Capitol ahead of State of the Union The group of people blocking the roadway is calling for a permanent ceasefire and an end to the genocide in Gaza. Additionally, protestors say they are demanding an end to U.S. military funding to Israel, and investment in life-affirming community needs like housing, health care, education, and climate care. |
