In that moment, this understandably distraught father needed to be removed. Period. I'm sure he will be forgiven. |
Why was this father arrested but not Marjorie Greene, who was yelling and shouting as usual? |
She probably spits and bites. |
Right she should’ve been arrested |
It's Johnson's job to keep his caucus in line. He asked for decorum. But he cannot govern or control his caucus (nobody can), so they can be disrespectful with impunity. |
And another GOP who shouted Lies. From what I heard, she is not even supposed to wear that MAGA outfit. Two tiers of justice. All should have been removed (R’s claim to want tough enforcement). But the dad should have charges dropped. |
Why should they be dropped? People get charged all the time for protesting these events. |
+1 People seem to have misunderstood the concept of civil disobedience. It includes flouting the rules and facing the consequences, not getting off scot-free because your cause is sympathetic. |
This isn’t mere “civil disobedience” - he interrupted a formal joint session of Congress when the President was addressing both Houses. He is an insurrectionist, and needs to be charged and treated accordingly. I say let him rot in the DC jail with the rest of the J6’ers. He can go to the very end of the line behind them. |
I work for OSD. The Afghan withdrawal was centralized at the NSC w/ Sullivan. SecDef would never have let this happen if Biden gave him the proper authorities. This father has a reason to be mad. I'm mad. |
We should all be mad. |
I am heartbroken for this man and his family.
I am heartbroken for the people we lost that day. I am glad this father told us how he lost his son at Abbey gate. The Biden administration is evil for doing that and letting this man be arrested. Very bad decisions that are reckless and harmful to the people in America. |
So could the Speaker of the House. But he's too busy? |
The military does dangerous things, but our leaders (Joe Biden in Commander in Chief) should not make their jobs more dangerous and put them in harm’s way unnecessarily. Biden definitely put our military in harm’s way unnecessarily during the withdrawal from AFG. |
No, we shouldn't. It sounds like you have issues. We were spending $300 million a day being in Afghanistan. It's mind boggling. People die over much less domestically, and we don't even blink an eye, so for you to focus so much unadulterated rage over a death in an inherently dangerous occupation is a sign that you need help, not that we should join you in your rage. |
