Ugh. Please not another MCCPTA white savior mom. Lynne Harris checks that box. And 1 is enough.

Y’all are grasping at straws here. Glenn Orlin is universally respected for his deep knowledge of the budget and every other county political process there is over the past thirty years. I think it says a lot—positively—that he’s Laura Stewart’s treasurer.

It'll be interesting to see if Shebra Evans files again too, or if she's going to leave the board.

I know Laura a little bit. She definitely has a lot of enthusiasm but I feel like she's a bit redundant in terms of her POV with Lynn Harris.

All you need to know about her is see who is listed as her treasure. Glen Orlin who works for the county council and has worked there for decades. He's all in on covering up MCPS issues.

Glen retired, but yes he’s all in on covering up MCPS problems.

And is back working part-time for the council. Double dipping.

No, he retired again.

And consulting

Great. So you’re telling me Laura Stewart’s closest advisor is a MCPS lifer who has been part of the mess for 30+ years? What a way to get fresh perspective and turn the page to a new chapter.

Did we miss you putting your name in the ring to be on the BOE?

Need a completely new Board. Keep the Smob and out the others!

Are all the incumbents running for re-election?

Smondrowski and Harris are running. Evans has not filed yet. The rest are not up for reelection this year.

Thanks. I’m surprised anyone would want that job.

Maybe Laura Stuart is running because Evans doesn’t intend to.

There shouldn't even BE a SMOB. Children have no right making decisions that affect adults. Only leftists would think this was a good idea.

Sorry - that ship has sailed. 160K students deserve some representation.

Not at all impressed with the SMOB candidate that visited our school. She sat on her phone the whole time she wasn’t chatting it up with the security assistants. Awkward watching grown men chat up a teen girl.

Most don’t which is why so few people run for office. Same with the Superintendent role.

Laura Stewart is a BOE insider — basically an incumbent. It wouldn’t surprise me if she filed because she knows that Evans isn’t running again.
