I don’t think it’s that’s deep. I think he probably watches/watched a lot of porn and wanted to be with someone who looks like a porn actress, Lauren was in his orbit and there you go.

The only mystery to me is if she’s actually attracted to him or if she just tolerates him. She dated so many handsome black and biracial men and then just seemingly switched. Her baby daddy, her ex NFL player fiancé, the actor from Homicide, etc and then to go to basically the opposite of that in Jeff Bezos. Does ones type really switch that drastically?

That is very true. To the PP above PP, we can measure the level of jealousy with the level of vitriol. If you want to come across as mildly amused but not overly invested in the, er, interesting stylistic choices of this woman, then you wouldn't look so desperate.

And I agree with PP: if she's happy, and he's happy, that's all that matters.

It's just very weird because typically the affair partner is a younger version of the wife. It makes you wonder if the first marriage was a total mismatch from the beginning, or if the dude had a stroke and 180 degree personality change. Hope the first wife is living her best life.

I think it's more about wanting different things at different stages. Bezos wanted the nerdy Princeton grad with the prestigious job to start a family. It didn't matter that she was fugly. Now he wants the hot chick who loves to have fun and provides him an entry into the "cool" group that he never had. Sanchez was drop dead gorgeous when she was younger, and dated the hot jocks. She probably makes him feel like he's sexy and cool, like her exes.

PP here. It won’t be next year, but it’ll happen before 10 years are up. She’s a branch swinger — long history of setting her sights on men she can use, extracting whatever she came for, and then latching onto the next man who has something new for her to acquire.

Now that she’s landed one of the richest men on earth, the next jump won’t be for money. She’ll want the most attractive male celebrity, an icon whose place in history is about more than just money (think old money blue blood or political/intellectual elite), or maybe royal who can give her a title. Basically, someone who has something Bezos can’t buy with his money.

The thing about branch swingers is that, because their sole currency is looks and looks fade no matter how extensive the plastic surgery, her ride will eventually come to a hard stop. There are a lot of women like her who spent their lives as arm pieces to the world’s richest and most famous men only to end up discarded and burning through their money fast.

I’ve never heard that term “branch swinger” before but it definitely describes her. But I think this is it for her. If she lasts ten years with him, shes’ll be aged out at that point.

I can promise you he's not the man I feel entitled to would ever want. Money isn't everything, but I can see how someone from her background is drawn to the flame of money.

I am PP - and I didn't say anyone was jealous. She throws you because you don't perceive her as the type of woman who should win. You think her plastic surgery is tacky (I don't like it either!), that her clothes are all wrong, that she and Bezos shouldn't be so flagrantly public and appear to have such a good time together. It's indecorious. She's too muscular! Her skirt is too short! She's too old even though she's also exactly the right age. It's all so tacky! And so how dare she.

I see someone who's doing what she wants and at least appears to be living her life on her own terms. She seems to be rich, having fun, and - by the looks of it - actually in love with this weirdo guy.
