I don’t think their future path is in the entertainment industry - they’ve left a trail of “low productivity” and being notoriously difficult to work with. They must be bleeding money with their cost of living. I bet an essentially free frogmore cottage, security, Royal income, major invitations, private schools, private jets to Caribbean with william, skiing in Switzerland, being the darling boy etc. all being paid for in exchange for doing an event 3 times a week doesn’t seem so bad anymore!

Who?

NP, here's the link:

Lol- not just grifters- f’ing grifters.

He sounds drunk.
They still have other ventures. Netflix etc.
I don’t like them either but people really enjoy piling on them.
I do think they need to put a lid on the complaining of the RF and expand. She could easily do a home decor or style show and people would watch. He could do a show about English idioms, that competition thingy he started and people would watch.

Or perhaps not everyone is interesting enough to deserve a show?

Being famous typically warrants some sort of talent or charisma. It’s not an entitlement.

Their brand seems to be bitterness, victimhood, and overcoming (faux) adversity. Plus mental health. It doesn’t seem particularly uplifting or authentic.

Where did PP say "everyone"? Learn to read first before you go off a cliff.

She lacks the self-awareness to see that their "brand" is over, so she'll keep pulling at strings to make it happen. But it's over, because you cannot build a brand when people do not like you, believe you, or trust you. It's over.

Boom. Nailed it. She was never compelling. She was forced down our throat so the media could take jabs at her throne. Now the media has moved on and the dope doesn’t get that she’s an insufferable whiney bore. She has negative rizz as the kids say.

Media is not moving on. Clearly. Just signed on with WME. Sorry, try again.

Maybe she’ll announce some new venture that Ari helped her land but wants to amp up her “storyline” first. She really is just TOO MUCH.

Why is she taking a walk so triggering? You are letting her living in your head rent free.

Spotify isn't happy with that, so they called them grifters. They are finding better opportunities elsewhere, that's all, folks. No need to twist it into your scathing narratives. They will be just fine despite everyone's attempts to watch them fail. The podcast won actual multiple awards. Meghan has just signed an enormous deal. Nothing to see here. Move along.

What enormous new deal? Lol come on.

Forgot to mention that Meghan PAYS for awards, so that’s not a real accomplishment.

Even when someone is truly suffering from a severe loss or illness, people want to hear about courage and determination in the face of hardship. Certainly not whining from a privileged, attractive, healthy couple who had a royal wedding and now living in a 14 million dollar home with 2 beautiful children. Count your blessings!

Yes. Noone begrudged them leaving the BRF and striking out on their own. The problem was the obvious greed and what they chose to monetize.

There was an Oprah interview, a docuseries, and a book, both started years ago and happened to come out at the same time. That is it. The constant whining you hear is only the constant whining of idiots constantly whining, creating some false impression that the Sussexes are constantly whining. Thet aren't.

What? Nope, she does not. That’s just an amazingly stupid comment.

PP here. +1

While the BRF is on the billion $ payroll of British subjects, somehow you think Harry and Meghan working on their own time a problem. Is that right? Yes, they are monetizing their work, which is how they make money.

Gently laughing that Bill Simmons is just the Spotify guy on this board - he’s huuuge in sports media. Created 30 for 30, had a wildly popular ESPN column, 2 NYT best selling books, created Grantland and The Ringer, top 10 podcast.

No matter how excellent you are in your field, you are only known to a portion of the society. Only the celebrities are know to all because their faces are plastered everywhere.

No celebrity wanted to be associated with them. And it turns out it wasn't so much a discussion with MM -- just her monologing and splicing the celeb being interviewed by a producer

Yep, their lack of professionalism means no real celebrity wants to work with them.

What the F is a "real" celebrity?

Stay my a$$ right there in the UK, smiling, waving, shaking hands, holding babies, popping out as many kids as Harry wants and kissing up to Kate and Will. How hard is it??? Just dumb.

Maybe that is not the life everybody wants. You sound like a housewife from the 50s.

NP except Meghan wouldn’t have to do the laundry, cook, clean, raise her kids if she didn’t want to. When not doing two public outings as a royal a week she could spend her days at the spa while the nanny tends to the kids. This isn’t Mad Men.

This. All she had to do was accept that Harry would always come after William.

This is the best example in history of 'fumbling the bag.' My God. They left a life of royalty and luxury to hustle outside of Hollywood with a tin cup.

They have worked with many celebrities, throughout the Archetype podcast, and in other endeavors, as well as socially. If they weren't celebrities themselves, WME wouldn't have signed at all. Grow up.

Their security costs are for sure over 2 million a year. I’m a nanny for a major celebrity and I’m sure they have 8 security per day, working 12hr shifts.

The house security is $50/hr, security that goes out with the client is $100/hr. Most families have 2 house security and 2 security for the principal (one for parents, one for the kids). So that’s 8 people per day, $50 x 5 people x 12hrs and $100 x 3 people x 12hrs because night shift only needs me security. That is at a minimum, $6600 per day x 365 days = over $2.4 million per year. They can’t run that cost through their (scam) charity, so that’s not sustainable.

Add in nanny salaries ($100k) x 2 because I’m sure they have rota childcare, 2-3 housekeepers ($150-200k per year), estate manager ($100-150k), personal assistant ($75k), plus all the gardeners and maintenance staff.

Total over 3 million a year.
