Weak showing by the IAC and WCAC teams today.

3 teams from the MIAA (BL, McDonogh, and Calvert Hall) made it to the winners bracket.

No team from DMV made it to the Championship bracket in the White or Red Session. So I guess the entire DMV has given a weak showing at NHSLS?

Yes 2022 and 2023 classes in the DMV were strong I think the 2024 and 2025 classes will be a step back for the area. A few top players but not a top team.

NHSLS truly does not mean much and certainly predicts nothing.

Baltimore HS programs put a beat down on the DC teams in the past 10 days

Winning at NHSLS means nothing. Most teams play their entire rosters no matter if the game is close or not. Some play to win meaningless games, some play to see what they will look like in the future and to get all of their guys in front of college coaches.

While I agree with your post, you can't deny the MIAA teams had a much better showing this summer than the IAC / WCAC teams.

Given the constant rotation of players, I don't think my son's MIAA played to "win it all"

IAC never plays to win NHSLS. They’re only looking at the younger guys and most play all players equally as far as time goes. No matter what game or opponent they’re playing. Not a fan of NHSLS bc of this. Everyone talks about how great it is for recruiting, which is true if you play for a school that plays to win NHSLS and doesn’t have your first line senior out on the field with a JV freshman being looked at when your playing a national Powerhouse….lol

All IAC teams work together to lose? Lmao

This is not true in recent years Bullis has made the finals. SJC won NHSLS and it was a big deal. STA is always trying at this event.

Excuses from the IAC and WCAC schools.

The miaa teams were just better this summer and results just showed that.

On to Lacrosse. Bullis implodes. Prep falls off but still vies for the Championship. Landon Improves. St. Albans drops off. St. Stephens improves. Episcopal - depends on the transfer portal. They had a great team this year with some excellent offensive players. When was the last time they had players going to Duke and UVA to play lacrosse instead of football? If they can get ahold of some more ACC bound players, they will keep getting better. They got really good in football with coach Vulgaris, maybe the lacrosse coach can take a page out of his book and get the Lacrosse Team Rolling.

Not sure why Bullis would implode?? They are stacked with their 2025 class (huge number of them, playing together for years) and have great coaching. Prep and Landon will always be there. STJ and Zaga will both be solid and as good as this year or better. I think next spring will be a great one for area lax.

What ever happened to the Bullis news that was supposed to be coming after NHSLS?

IDK is Bellestri filling the vacancy at PVI? That would be news.
