This is because Hillsdale is a reputable, highly selective and well-regarded college. I loved the letter they wrote:

"This drama around teaching Michelangelo's 'David' sculpture, one of the most important works of art in existence, has become a distraction from, and a parody of, the actual aims of classical education," spokesperson Emily Stack Davis wrote in a statement. "Of course, Hillsdale's K-12 art curriculum includes Michelangelo's 'David' and other works of art that depict the human form."

Reminder: only ONE person objected to David being shown. Not "the GOP" or whatever DCUM constantly claims.

i am not sure if you are deliberately obtuse of what. ONE person objected AND THE PRINCIPAL WAS FIRED. ONE person objected to the showing of Disney's Ruby Bridges AND THE MOVIE WAS PULLED. this BECAUSE THE LAWS PASSED BY THE GOP, particularly in Florida but this is happening everywhere, with books pulled from public libraries SO NOBODY CAN READ THEM not just the wackos who are protesting.

It’s going to take a lot more repetition for what you say to sink in for the PP(s?) who deny this means anything.

Then why doesn't the rest of the GOP stand up to this ONE person? Instead, they sit silent. Their silence is deafening and only show complicity.

Either everyone needs to speak up and follow their voices with legislation, or else they are falling in line with the budding puritanical auhtoritarianism.

GOP is so desperate for every last vote that they feel the need to coddle and enable the loons.

Hillsdale is an excellent college. Only a total LWNJ partisan would claim otherwise.

It's an excellent college for religious extremists who are working relentlessly to force a theocracy on the US people. Or people who want to defund public schools to subsidize their own religious schools.
