What is Bowser's political future

4.). Simply put, the Mayor is weak and her time is up. She does not have an effective strategy for fighting crime and she is surrounded by sycophants who tell her what she wants to hear. Look at her Chief of Staff, the MOLC, Deputy Mayor of Public Safety. Look how poorly her staff handled the Falchiccio matter - they fumbled the ball big time and looked like amateurs - you would have never seen such sloppy work in places like NYC or L.A.

5.). We need a new Mayor.

The Council drafted and passed that bill. OAG is separate, not under her. So, those need to be taken up elsewhere.

Agree she is terrible at running city.

A new mayor will make little headway with the Council skewed as far left as it is, and with an anti-prosecution USOA and anti-carceral AG. Previous Councils were not fronts for DC Justice Lab. When the activists are openly writing the bills and talking points, it's not a good situation.

Agreed that most of this falls on the Council and she/any Mayor should continue to call the Council on their incredibly pro crime drama and BS. Agree she is not the greatest mayor overall though. My spouse said the crime lab has just been recertified? If so, overdue and embarrassing - but one piece of good news...

There are not many DC agencies that are unscathed from Bowser's incompetence.

In a third term, there are no new ideas or initaitives, no goals or aspirations, and Bowser is not a visionary nor a manager.

I hope this term is it for her.

No, he didn't. He's director of the DC Department of Energy & Environment before becoming director of the Office of Policy and Legislative Affairs. He's also leading the flailing pushback against the Charles Allen recall, helping out his fellow Alabama carpetbagger.

She never had any ideas. She lived off of the visionary leadership of Tony Williams for as long as she could. I knew she would suck. I just couldn't convince anyone else.
