Precious little. No theology degree. Nepotism. Inherited his fathers church. “Favored.” Poor knowledge of theology. Makes ridiculous claims like if you become a Christian they’ll always open up a new register for you at the store and you’ll never have to stand in line again from an actual sermon that he gave. Using the term sermon rather loosely here obviously. |
Ok, but op has never explained why she feels Osteen is biblical; or read these replies and commented on the facts. It feels like another weird troll thread. Nobody is forcing anyone to like, listen, or to contribute to Joel Osteen. |
| He makes me feel queasy and sick. |
Lie down and put a cool cloth on your head. Put a bucket beside you in case you get sick. Are you living with someone who is forcing you to listen or watch Osteen? |
It really does make you question people's basic sense. Just looking at him sets off alarms of mistrust and then when I hear him speak, I think "I wouldn't trust this man with my lawn service, let alone my soul." |

Oh, come on. If you don't like him, that's you, and it's your privilege not to like him. I LOVE him. He's great. If you haven't listened to any of his sermons, I urge you to watch him at least once. I think you might be pleasantly surprised. And if you still don't like him, it's your privilege to choose not to watch him any further. |
Oh I have and as a woman and as a human, every instinct I have says this is not a man to be trusted. |
They are all scammers. People are so dumb. |
Often pastors and preachers are good people who spend a lot of time helping others - whether religion related or not. However, because they are by definition tied to religion, they are also associated with encouraging people to believe religious teachings. |
| Joel Osteen isn’t very masculine either. He seems kind of girly. |
In Olsteen's brand of Christianity, seeming girly is ok, acting on it is not. |
| No preacher who is true to Christianity would be that rich. And I hold that standard to ALL who call themselves pastor, preacher, reverend, priest, minister, etc. |

| Jesus would be flipping that money changers table so hard… |
