Of whom? What charge?

Just because something is awful and outrageous doesn't mean it's criminal.

Narrator: It was criminal

Have you been paying attention to the DOJ and the various charges of "seditious conspiracy?"

I mean, they aren't done by a long shot, but they are working their way up the chain of command.

It's going to be presented later. This was just the first part of seven.

I’ll be waiting for the hard evidence.

Kushner was in a position to do something, to talk Trump around, to try to put a stop to everything. But he didn't. Because he's a lightweight and unpatriotic.

Did we ever expect anything from him but self-interest and lack of integrity? Both of them, him and Ivanka.

+1

Kushner thought people dying of covid was FINE because they thought it would only kill Democrats.

THAT is the level of STUPID and AWFUL we're dealing with.

That’s awful, but I have seen people here express the same sentiment about conservatives dying from COVID.

COVID OVID. Create a new thread. We aren’t going to fall for the squirrel tactic.

What we already knew:

1. Important personnel changes occurred
2. SOPs modified
3. A former president holding a “can I be a dictator” rally

What we don’t know:

1. Who else? Besides obvious suspects.
2. How far did it go up the chain?

What we demand:

1. This never happens again

We weren’t in the White House with total control over which states got PPE and which didn’t. And those conservatives were killings themselves by refusing to get vaccinated.

Don’t Care!!

This is all so flipping tedious. Just an immense waste of time. Trump is an idiot, and a bigot, and 100 other things. I don’t give a sh$t anymore. He’s gone. He’s irrelevant and an embarrassment to all his sycophants now trying to distance themselves.

At the same time, this was not an “insurrection”. It was a protest by a bunch of idiot rednecks, really people who would deserve pity and empathy if they weren’t so obnoxious.

But you can’t have an insurrection with no guns, no bombs, no plan to overthrow the government, and no intent to seize power and rule. That didn’t exist. It was a bunch of dumbass theatre and I’m tired of otherwise reasonable and smart people pretending that the American Government was on the brink of collapsing. Such a bunch of hysterics. Get over yourselves.

I don't think it's an immense waste of time. Trump was more than just an idiot and a bigot and 100 other things. He is also a criminal. He lost an election, then he attempted to commit election fraud by convincing others including the secretary of state of Georgia so deliberately change the results of an election. Raffensperger could not just change the results. He dutifully conducted an audit of the election and found that the discrepancies did not change the results. Trump tried to put political pressure on him to change the results of an election and then threatened him if he didn't and then tried to leverage his (Trump's) political stranglehold on the Republican party to unseat Raffensperger. Trump also convinced people to conduct an armed assault on the Capitol where the certification of the election was occurring. He threatened Mike Pence, and he encouraged his followers to disrupt the Constitutionally mandated counting of the electoral votes that was in progress, with the intent to overturn the lawful election that had been conducted. If you don't believe that overturning the election and putting a losing election candidate back into office was an intent to seize power and rule, then you have absolutely no business commenting on what happened. This was the Trump version of a political coup to overturn the election results and to reseat the incumbent who lost the election.

The fact that there were also people who were willing to kidnap the Vice President, the presiding officer of the electoral count, and to force him to change the results by disallowing certified votes. If you don't think that was an attempt to seize power and rule, then you are woefully ignorant of how the United States elections are run. The fact is that Trump had run out of legal avenues to overturn the election, so he then organized and encouraged an illegal uprising of dumbass idiots to go and do what he could not. And that attempt was illegal. It was not just a protest when there were individuals in the crowd who had tools and weapons to threaten, kidnap, assault and possibly kill the elected officials responsible for lawfully counting and recording the accurate election of the next president.

And while you discount Trump and say he is gone, he is not. Although his power is waning, he is still the most dominant force in the Republican Party today who is contemplating running for president again in 2024. The goal of this, should be to ensure that Trump is facing felony charges that could have him imprisoned or at least ineligible to run for President in 2024. He's already too old, but there are too may Republicans who won't see that and will still vote for him. This needs to be enough to absolutely shut the door on him ever returning to elected office.

For those above who think the testimony was edited, it’s all going to come out. 🍿

Agreed. And here’s the MAGA cretin who allegedly attacked her. Which side would you rather be on?

“In 2009, for example, Samsel was apparently convicted of assault and reckless endangerment when he held a woman against her will for five hours, choked her to the point of unconsciousness, beat her up, and chipped her teeth.

Two years later, he was convicted on charges linked to attacking his pregnant girlfriend. Prosecutors said he smashed a hot pizza in her face, beat her up, threw her into a canal, and held her head under water. She escaped from him and ran barefoot through the street until she saw a parked police vehicle and “desperately tried to open the door” until the officer saw her and unlocked it so she could get in.

Years later, another woman said that Samsel had choked her to the point of unconsciousness on several occasions, raped her, and broken into her house multiple times to attack her. She obtained a restraining order against him, but said he had violated it multiple times.”

I want to know if the Trump WH was coordinating with Supreme Court justices. If the committee has evidence of that, it’s going to be a seismic meltdown.

The way to prevent fascism from taking over the country is to win elections. The way to win elections is to solve pocketbook issues. These hearings are just convincing voters in the middle that Democrats care just as much about re-litigating 2020 as DJT, and care nothing about the crumbling economy. That’s not how you win elections.

The first happened at the beginning of the pandemic when the Administration thought this wsa a city and vlue state pehnomenon.
The second happened sarcastically post-Vaccine, when idiots decided not to take action that could have stemmed the tide and saved hundreds of thousands of lives, most of them conservative.

It went to the top. The Oath Keepers, 3%ers, Proud Boys were the muscle. The rubes attending the rally were the distraction. The lawyers fruitlessly challenging legal votes were the brains and it was all coordinated, from Ginnie Thomas, Donald Trump through to Chris Miller and on down. Including sitting House and Senate members and state house reps from PA, WI, MI, AZ and so on.
