Ethnic cleansing in Eastern Europe - when will the United Nations declare this a genocide?

Raphael Lemkin originally coined the term 'genocide' in 1944, and specifically chose genos with the intent of it comprising all of race, people, or nation.
Per the UN, What Russia is doing can correctly be called genocide. The United Nations Genocide Convention defined genocide as any of five "acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group, as such." These five acts were: killing members of the group, causing them serious bodily or mental harm, imposing living conditions intended to destroy the group, preventing births, and forcibly transferring children out of the group. Victims are targeted because of their real or perceived membership of a group, not randomly. Russia is targeting these atrocities against Ukrainian civilians for no other reason than because they are Ukrainians, a national group. |

There is evidence surfacing that Russian troops did this in several other cities as well. And bizarre/clueless that they want to suggest "it was Azov" when Azov was all the way across the country, pinned down fighting in Mariupol. As if they have magical teleportation ability and all the time in the world to go around the country murdering their own parents, kids, cousins, etc... |

This is a reference to the children victims in Donbas killed over eight years of conflict, see “The Alley of Angels”. That children died in this conflict is a fact, but it is also a fact that Russia pumped weapons and resources into the separatist movement so a look in the mirror might be warranted. |

EVERY SINGLE ONE of those Donbas children would be alive and unscathed by war if Russia had minded their own business, respected Ukraine's sovereignty, democracy, and territorial integrity, and not sent thousands of mercenaries and provocateurs to create a fake separatist movement in Donbas. Their deaths is also on Russia's hands. |
