He also tattooed "Nevermind" in huge letters on his chest. Total money grab.
At the time that the album was made, Nirvana were not known, and not rich. I do think that in good faith they should have given something for all the profit they have earned over the years, but the man isn't necessarily entitled to it. He clearly has enjoyed the 'fame' and even tried to make himself look like Kurt Cobain, and if he's truly mad at anyone, it should be his parents. The whole child exploitation thing seems like complete BS.

| You wouldn’t know it was him unless he told you, and I bet he tells everyone. Loser. |
I noticed that as well. |

The album cover is iconic only because the music on the album was so commercially successful. If Nirvana was one of the other 1000+ grunge bands of that era that put out a crappy album, no one would've ever seen the cover and it probably would only have sold a few hundred copies at live shows.
Total money grab. Though, I do think it's terrible that his parents exposed him like that. I have a toddler son and I'd never exploit his image like that. |
| They'll settle for a few hundred grand and that will be that. |
+1. No way he is getting 2.5 million, but they should give him something to make it all go away. |
| Total money grab. His parents were paid $200 for the photo shoot. Yes, it would be nice if he had a better contract and could get more than $200 for appearing on that album cover. I guess this is his way of doing so. |
Why? He was a minor, his parents were paid. That's it, deal is done, has been for years |
| It’s one of my favorite albums and I think it’s a money grab. But honestly I have always thought the album cover was in very poor taste and I could ever loved it. |
| it's definitely an interesting case. Yes, maybe money grab. But I think there will be some interesting discussion around minors and consent as the mommy blogger kids get older and process how exposed their lives are/were. |
|
I don’t care if he got a tattoo of Nevermind and bragged about being the baby on the album cover. I still think that cover was exploitative. I hope he wins. |
And I would’ve never had an issue with it had it not featured the baby’s penis. I know that was the entire point of the cover and part of the shock value, still, I never liked the cover. |
| This is just a grift plain and simple. Lawsuit will never go anywhere. |
The problem with mommy bloggers is that there usually isn’t a lot of money AND the people exploiting the kids are the parents—the very people who would consent to said exploitation. |
Exploitative or not, there is nothing to win, His parents made the choice, and legally that's how it works for a minor. His beef should be with his parents |
