Last year from September through June FCPS lost a net total of 153 elementary schoolers.

Ohh, but the -153 is just kids who started in Sept and then dropped out. It doesn't include all the kids who disappeared from spring 2020 to Fall 2020.

Correct. You would have to look at prior years grade by grade to determine that loss.

They have never capped ES at numbers that low, except for Title 1 schools.

Why did you think they might do this? That would be a huge drop in max class size.

They do often provide IAs at higher numbers though.

We are at Saratoga. It looks like enrollment went down about 100 kids. My 6th grader has 22 and my 4th grader has 18 in their classes

Upper Elementary student in our household has 29 in the class. I'm sure it will get to 30-31 students during the year.

I thought they needed an assistant then, but not sure what FCPS is doing now with the assistants.

DS went to a title one es. His classes ranged from 18-25.
