You do not have to be certified to work at Ultimate Performance and personal trainers only keep about 25% of what they charge depending on package (I constantly get their recruiter emails). Great marketing claiming they have “the best brains in the industry” but if you look around on the website, they do not actually disclose any names. Pure hype |
I walked past I saw some Jerry pompadour hair as a trainer for 5k you get that? |
Exactly 5k for the trader Joe associate I saw, granted a buffed up trader Joe associate, no my trainer at equinox looks like she belongs on a cover for trainers she is only 1.2k |
The person who used to run these gyms in DC opened another gym in downtown DC (Thesis). It is a similar concept, but the trainers are on a different level. It is much less so a "transformation" based approach and more in line with maintaining a normal lifestyle while still getting results. I have been training there since May of last year. |
I wouldn’t recommend it. I did it without doing enough research. My “trainer” had just graduated college and was a football player but had no personal training experience. They pushed me to lift a lot heavier than my body could handle, and I ended up tweaking my back. I think a lot of of the trainers could work great with 20 year old men, but not so much for a 40 year old females needs. Also, it was very expensive at close to 4K for 18 sessions. |
