If you wake up 4:30-5:30 to workout, what time do you go to bed?

I get up at 5am and am lights out at 10pm.

I wake up at about 4 am and am usually asleep by 9 pm.

I wake up at 5:30 to go to work. I go to bed at 9:30. I would never wake up at 4 am to exercise. I am 50 and had chronic Lyme. Prior to Lyme, I could go to bed at 11 pm and wake up at 5 am.
Life post/with chronic Lyme sucks!
But, I used to go to bed at 2 am and wake up at 8 am. Technically sleeping way less than most people who wake up at 4 am.

In bed by 8pm, usually asleep by 9 - 10. I work from 8-5, shower at my regular gym, after doing an additional 30-45 minutes of cardio. Get everything prepped the night before (lunch packed, purse ready, gym bag and work backpack) I sleep in my workout clothes to help. The hardest part of my morning is waiting for the Keurig to warm up. I also always make sure I have gas in my tank, my phone is charged, and an extra pair of tennis shoes.

It’s a lot, but well worth it because it’s over and done by 7am and I have my free time after work. I also commute 45 minutes, so traffic gets stressful during the school year. I take a 1 hour lunch break and often nap after eating

This is the hell that awaits me.

Do any of you take naps or can you regularly get by on such little sleep?

I wake up 4:30-4:45 and am in bed by 8:30, asleep by 9-9:30.

Only someone single with no kids could keep this schedule.

Asleep by 9:30, wake by 4:30, workout starts at 5:00.

Contra the PP who said only someone with no kids could do this, I do it because I have kids. If I don't get my workout in before they wake up, it ain't happening.

I’m the 10:30-12am bedtime PP. I feel just fine and never nap. But I do get 7-8 hrs sleep a couple days per week as well

I take the rare nap. It's not that I don't want to, but the kids won't let me. I find that it's easier for me to do something like jumping jacks or push ups or just picking the kids up or chasing them around for a few minutes, maybe some music. It helps.

When I get up at 4 or 430, I like heading to my bedroom by 8 or 815 to wind down and prep for the next day and am usually asleep by 9 or 930.

I make sure my 10 yo is also headed to bed. But this leaves the 13 and 15 yo to DH’s oversight.

How is this possible? I wake up at 7:45 and am still in bed by 9 pm.

Do you think you really need almost 11 hrs of sleep per night? Sounds a bit lazy unless there is some medical reason

For people who wake up early to workout, do you have coffee first? I would love to become a morning workout person but need coffee first, so that adds in like an extra 20 minutes to the morning routine.
