| Does super y offer financial aid for any low income players or teams? |
|
Had you looked at any of the Super Y threads you'd have known what to expect.
Plenty of people seem to be gluttons for punishment, and hey, it's their money, but to me Super Y is a massive, overpriced waste of time. |
Financial aid would be a club issue not a league issue. |
Also, Super Y is nothing more than a supplemental program so it is pretty unlikely that financial aid is offered, especially considering it is considered primarily as a club revenue generator. |
| We've had 4 games with Super Y already, and several weeks of practice 2x per week. I've been happy with how "serious" the club is taking it -- it's not being treated as a babysitting camp or rec league, the coaches are training the players. |
| DG had super copa then attended national playoffs in Florida |

I commented on Super Y experience earlier this year
In short, big rosters with too many players that dont show up due to vacations and more. Also, the weather is just too damn hot and the ops initial comment about weather just made me remember how much that sucks for the players especially when the roster was 10,11 or on a good day 12 as that one sub on the blistering HOT turf made all the difference (or not) |
In general when do the rosters shrink? We have 25 on our roster and have had to turn players away each week so far. |
| GFR U11 expected higher level of teammates oh well |
The whole universe rotates around DG and KL. The earth stops moving when these two Titans are not available. |
| That sucks, we are doing super Y and it’s been good so are. Practiced for full month of June and 4-5 games in. |
| Caveat emptor |
This is not true as this sounds like bait & switch or false advertising. |
| Sorry to hear you are having a bad experience. We have a large roster (larger than expected) and have to turn players away each week, but have been told players are guaranteed 5 games minimum. We also have one weekly super Y practice in the evenings. |
That’s tough. DS is doing his first year with NVUFC and it has been great. $650 total. Two practices a week, no games cancelled, and a good base of kids. Maybe try a different club next summer? |
