| And I guess she isn’t dying her hair? |

The hair color difference makes a significant change, but I think she’s had some work - her face does look different than just an older version of this. But if I didn’t know her face, I wouldn’t look at her today and automatically say she’s been worked on. It’s subtle. |
| I think it's just an unflattering picture. She looks like she threw on some Old Navy rag and air dried her hair to go get the mail. |

My feeling is that Julia Stiles is a pretty average looking person. Perhaps a bit below average. When you're young, that translates into being cute, provided you're not obese, but by 35 you're going to look...average. A woman who is a knockout at 45, with or without a bit of help, was probably a knockout at 25 too. Julia Stiles was never a knockout.
For me, it's the difference between Eva Longoria and Penelope Cruz. They're the same age. They both looked fantastic fifteen/twenty years ago, but PC looks a lot better now and I think in another ten years the difference will be even more pronounced. She's simply a better looking woman. |

Eva longoria’s not the best example of that—she looks great.
But it’s also about what your look was. Someone with phenomenal bone structure like Liz Hurley is generally going to keep that as they age (unless they need steroids or something that just obscures their looks). Someone whose looks were based at least in part on having a fresh young face with some softness to it is going to lose that. Like Madonna. |
| Her eyebrows look different, maybe darker, and she is wearing her hair much differently than when she was younger. She looks great, though. |
Ha! I don't think Liz Hurley is the best example of "phenomenal bone structure". She's always had a slightly funny, off-kilter face to me. Her rockin' bod is her real asset, especially now at her age. |
| It's the hooded eyes, which Stiles doesn't have anymore. It was sort of a trade mark feature for her. Gave her a more unique look. Now she looks good, just not unique. |
| is she wearing any makeup in this photo? |

Her round face has hollowed/thinned out with age.
Cindy Crawford’s did too. Look at photos at 20 and 40/50. |
Isn’t that what Renee Zellweger had done? She looked so different afterwards. |
I too was going to bring up Renee. For both Renee and Julia the procedure made them look very different. |
Yes. Blepharoplasty definitely makes people with hooded eyelids look different. The most (suspected) obvious cases that I've seen were Kenny Rogers and Axl Rose. I've seen it done by the best plastic surgeons in the country and it will still change the look of those with hooded eyes. |
