How do your first two sentences correlate? Were they supposed too? What does your daughter have to do with anything? How can a team that loses it's 3-4 top players be better next year, unless these amazing coaches perform some miracle over the summer by either recruiting better players than they lost (I don't see that happening), developing the current players over the summer (I don't see that happening), or bringing them up from a B team (I don't see that happening). I don't even know if you have a B team though. |
have you looked at EDP schedules? DD is in EDP2 and most games are either Baltimore or just outside of Baltimore |
PAC's 07 team has a mediocre coach and finished 8th out of 9 teams in its division with 1 win and 7 losses. No wonder the players are leaving. |
for a team that thinks highly enough of itself to be moving up to a higher league and brags about how good its players are, 1-7 does not appear to be a good coaching jobs |
you are what your record says you are. People hold up this club as the ideal, and they really don't seem to be anything special. They are probably in for a rude awakening in EDP unless they get placedin South Atlantic Championship III, in which case they should just stay NCLS and save themselves the gas money. |
That team was NCSL D1 2nd place last year then COVID hit and they lost their top player to Arlington. Actually both forwards left and they just could fill the void this year. They just didn’t have any scoring punch this season. They are extremely talented technically just couldn’t find the back of the net. |
sure they have them most amazing program and their training is the best in the known universe, the just went 1-7, after going 4-4-1. They seem to play in lower brackets at tournaments and neither win nor lose. In short there appears to be absolutely nothing special or unique about them, but people fall over themselves praising them |
Just looked them up. they are ranked 53rd in VA. Why are we talking about these guys? I've also seen them play winter Alexandria futsal. Got killed. Not sure where the claim of being skillful came in. Also saw them at Arlington ASIST. Average team a weak team in 3rd division. If that's your standard...then that's your standard. |
Look at the fall 2019 record. There was no spring when covid hit. So fall 2000 and this spring 2001 they had a scoring void because both starting forwards left . Yes they were that good the ball stayed in the opponents 1/3 70% of the game. But as the club continues to do. They develop players from these teams without chasing team championships. They do what’s right for the player. That’s why you see PAC player leave for top level teams while other big clubs keep kids trapped on B and C Teams within their clubs. |
Seems like you're the only one falling over yourself with how sour you are. If you read or comprehended (clearly not) the posts by PAC families you will see they are highlighting that some players from PAC are developed to become top contributors on other clubs' top 1-2 teams. Why are you souring on what their record is? Your assumptions based on records alone showcases your wisdom. As Ranting said, take it from the families that are still at PAC or have been through the program at some point in time. |
I agree. I wouldn't brag about putting someone of Arlington's 3rd team. As for one or two on Arlington Red...I mean not bad but is it really because of some development at PAC. Maybe the two kids just grew. and got faster, etc. |
Well, even Red, past U13 Red isn't even Arlington's top team anymore. If you are a small club and your getting kids placed on DC United or other actual Top Teams, not just teams in large clubs that is actually pretty impressive and a brand a small club could market. |
fall 19 they were 6-2-1 and third in their division. 1-2 in their November tournament and 1-2 in their august tournament. That seems like an ok team, but nothing to fawn over |
How about we just say, good for them. They may not be heading for college soccer but most DMV players aren't.
If they are reaching their own personal soccer goals of becoming better players and moving from PAC to a larger club because that's their goal, good for them. PAC seems like a solid club for those wanting a smaller less competitive atmosphere and those who start to feel stifled are able to move to other clubs and be happy about it. If they aren't taking a spot from your kid stop being so negative. Someone saying good job to PAC doesn't mean your club is doing a bad job. There's room for everyone to play when there are more choices and PAC fills a need, obviously, as they are able to fill and field teams. In the end, we all just want our kids to be their best, keep active, develop as people and in their sport, and take those lessons into their future lives. Chill. |
Someone comes on here talking out their a-ss, they are going to be told about it. |
