Taking an oath of loyalty at a private sector job. Get outta here with that crap. |
CEO demanded that all management level staff contribute to a specific PAC and provide evidence of your contribution. |
Eff that. Reminds me of that Facebook thing going around a couple years ago where people were demanding you post a picture of Trump with the word "Nazi" superimposed over his head or they would 'defriend' you. Look, not a fan of the guy, but you're not forcing me to do jack squat. |
Headed up by a buncha d-bag guys from consulting who must've just sat around deciding which "C" exec each wanted to be randomly. So much circle jerking between those guys. |
Open office. Who can concentrate? |
Honestly working anywhere that doesn’t basically rubber stamp leave requests. I’m taking off Christmas week and spring break week every year. If that doesn’t work for you, then this isn’t the right job for me. |
The company took its "rivalry" with a competitor way too seriously. To the point where it felted like a high school sports rivalry. I previously worked at a competitor and was always asked about my former coworkers (what schools they went to, their bonuses, what areas they commuted from). One person even said verbatim "aren't you glad you don't work with those c-cks-ckers at Company anymore". It was so bizarre. |
Let people leave, don't fill positions, expect us to pick up the work, no raises in two years. |
Brilliant narcissists and bullies went unchecked. The tone at the top was that abusive behavior was ok and made you tough. Lots of whispered conversations in corners. Lots of back stabbing. Family members hired to do nothing. Brown nosing encouraged.
Another job pulled the “we are family” BS. No thank you. I don’t need to sit in meetings and hear about how your childhood affects you today. I don’t need to go out to lunch with you on weekends. I don’t need team building breakfasts in windowless conference rooms. No one needs to clap every time a new grant rolls in. Can you tell I’m not a fan of working? Thankfully I work for myself now. |
Omg every line of this!!! |
Crystal City Restaurant? |
CCR, you called it baby! |
My first job we only got two weeks vacation per year and we had to put the days in bt December of year before.
Days were set by seniority and could not be changed |
Company culture rooted in the mid-90s when company was founded. Dress code requiring "panty hose" for women and "no casual cotton pants." Requirement to use coasters on desks. The same coasters as everyone else. |
That is completely illegal and should have filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission. |
